But I've got my standard one-note feedback, and that's "what about Nostr?" Mid-episode, a lot of the discussion around moderation of social media seemed to simply assume that there _would_ be moderation, and that the question was "who gets to make the moderation policy?", i.e. whether that's Stanford grads in Palo Alto or (say) the Burmese government. This discussion was aimed at #bluesky, which obviously is still highly centralized, and thus can be regulated. But the question gets more murky when it comes to the #fediverse, and completely obsolete when it comes to #nostr. If we really believe in a future of decentralized social media, we need to shift the question away from "who's going to moderate and how?" to "how to empower individuals, families and communities to build their own opt-in moderation policies?"

Parking requirements are a great "gateway drug" into #urbanism, particularly from a #libertarian bent. Practically ever American city has minimum parking space requirements for commercial spaces, and these requirements are almost universally dumb & arbitrary. Take bowling alleys: Some cities require 2 spaces per lane, some 4, some 8. A bakery, a restaurant, and a bar all might have completely different requirements, despite serving a similar customer base... Meaning that the commercial landlord can get in a situation where they can't rent to XYZ business, because they don't have enough parking. And should a _bar_ really have a _minimum_ number of parking spaces? A place where people literally get inebriated and unable to operate a motor vehicle? There's a crazy story on 404 media about how a #polymarket bet was apparently manipulated by an independent group that reports on hour-by-hour updates of the #ukraine war. Site is paywalled, but I just listened to the podcast: apparently ISW, one group that maintains up-to-date maps of the conflict, released a "mistaken map" that caused a polymarket bet to resolve a certain way... then the map was quickly changed back. This sort of parallels certain conversations about #weboftrust that we're having on Nostr... Who do you trust to make the assertion that "thing X" actually happened in the real world? https://www.404media.co/unauthorized-edit-to-ukraines-frontline-maps-point-to-polymarkets-war-betting/

Yay... #momostr seems to actually work for 2-way communications with the #fediverse, whereas #mostr is spotty at best. Now comes the difficult process of switching all my Mostr follows to Momostr...

Hey nostr:nprofile1qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq3jamnwvaz7tmgvfezucm0wfskxmr99eek7cmfv9kz7qg4waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t09uqzp978pfzrv6n9xhq5tvenl9e74pklmskh4xw6vxxyp3j8qkke3cez9u7pju , NIP-05 info doesn't seem to be showing up for momostr.pink on #coracle... I click on "explore" for that relay, and nothing seems to be returned. Those npubs seem to show up fine on amethyst...

Yet another issue with #mostr (yeah, I know): It seems to pull in _everything_, even instances that aren't federating with it, and instances that just seems to be pure spam like pubeurope dot com... At this point IDK, seems like I just have to ban Mostr and only use Momostr (which actually seems to work) for #fediverse communication...
