Fiat money only works if debt grows forever in a finite world. In biology, we call that cancer.

In the long run, Bitcoin will have been a story about when a bunch of imperfect humans met a perfect machine
Right now, literally right now….each zapped note is gifted wealth to our future generations one Sat at a time.
Bitcoin doesn't fix greed. It just stops hiding it. No bailout is coming for you, and none is coming for the banks either, which is exactly what Satoshi was pointing at when he put a bailout headline in the very first block.
An institution that can print its way out of every mistake never has to build a strong mind. Bitcoin takes that option away from everyone, the banks and us.
So yeah, you need a strong mind to hold money. Bitcoin gives that mind something worth holding.
Zaps are value moving at the speed of conversation.
That changes how people talk. When appreciation travels as fast as a reply, you start feeding the stuff you actually want more of. Good ideas get fuel, spam gets nothing.
We spent twenty years on an internet where the conversation was free and the money lived somewhere else, behind ads and middlemen. Nostr put them back in the same room.
Next time something in your feed makes you think, don't just like it. Zap it.
Nobody goes to X looking for an Al opinion.
People want to know what REAL people experienced. The future belongs to people with stories.
Not people with perfect Al generated paragraphs.
When the mainstream news networks break a big story, that's your signal to start questioning everything about it. Who handed it to them? Who benefits if you believe it? Why this story, and why right now?
You're more likely to find the truth from internet sleuths like us than from a network with advertisers to please and access to protect.
The networks spend billions spreading propaganda. Every question you ask costs them a little more. Make it expensive.
JUST WHEN PEOPLE ARE FINALLY LEARNING WHAT FLOCK CAMERAS ARE...SOME CITIES ARE ALREADY MOVING TO SOMETHING ELSE.
IT'S CALLED AXON.
YOU CAN REMOVE THE FLOCK CAMERAS. CANCEL THE FLOCK CONTRACT. CELEBRATE LIKE THE SURVEILLANCE IS GONE...THEN REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER COMPANY'S SYSTEM AND CALL IT
"PUBLIC SAFETY."
THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER THE NAME ON THE CAMERA...THE PROBLEM WAS BUILDING A SYSTEM THAT CAN WATCH EVERYONE.
DON'T JUST WATCH FOR FLOCK...
WATCH WHAT REPLACES IT.
Always make sure SOMEONE in the relationship has good credit. That's why it's called SIGNIFICANT other.

I LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING A ONE WAY STREET.
THAT'S HOW LITTLE FAITH I HAVE IN HUMANITY RIGHT NOW.
People call this a godless age. I don't buy it. We've never been more religious. We just changed who we pray to.
There's an old definition I keep coming back to: your god is whatever you look to for every good thing and run to when life goes bad. Try that test on an honest day with your phone in your hand.
For a lot of us, it's the version of ourselves we post. We polish it, protect it, and feel sick when it gets ignored. That's worship whether anybody calls it that or not. The upside of an idol you built yourself is that you can set it down.

Our grandparents mostly didn't chase happiness. It showed up as a side effect of a solid marriage and work they could be proud of.
Now we demand it on our own terms, immediately. Listen to how people talk. "I think" turned into "I feel," and "I'd like" turned into "I want." Even the phones have an I in front of the name.
Happiness never came packaged with a product and it still doesn't. If you want it back, go invest in what it used to grow out of.

WE MAY HAVE A LOT OF DIVISION IN THIS COUNTRY, BUT I KNOW WE ALL LOOK AT A CYBERTRUCK AND THINK
"WOW, THAT'S AN UGLY PIECE OF SH*T ON WHEELS."
Good neighbors are highly underrated
Most of us figure negativity only hurts when it's aimed at us. Research says being nearby is enough.
In one set of experiments, people watched a stranger get snapped at for showing up late. Afterward they solved fewer puzzles and were less willing to help anyone. Nobody had said a word to them, and just being in the room did the damage.
It gets physical too. Ohio State had married couples argue for half an hour, and the ones who were hostile as a habit healed small wounds at about 60 percent the speed of kinder couples, with more inflammation in their blood.
Facebook actually tested this at scale. For one week they quietly adjusted what almost 700,000 people saw. Cut the positive posts from someone's feed and they got more negative. Cut the negative posts and they got more positive. None of them knew.
Mood spreads in both directions, which means you're shaping somebody's environment every time you open your mouth or hit post. Be picky about what you soak in all day. And be the Npub people feel better after scrolling past.
