GM Nostr ☕
Congress has lost its library to fire twice. The British burned the first one in 1814, and Jefferson sold them his personal collection to start over.
Then on Christmas Eve 1851 a bad chimney flue lit the place up again. Around 35,000 books gone, including most of Jefferson's.
So they built a fireproof room entirely out of cast iron. Tourists loved it. In 1901 they tore it out and sold it for scrap.
Jefferson called it back in 1791. He wrote that records get saved by "such a multiplication of copies, as shall place them beyond the reach of accident." His own books had to burn to prove him right.
Every system that keeps one copy in one place eventually meets its chimney flue. A server, a platform, an account somebody else can close. The fix hasn't changed in two hundred years. Make copies and spread them out.
That's why your notes live on more than one relay. Go post something worth keeping today.

WE'VE BEEN WAITING FAR TOO LONG FOR REAL ANSWERS AND EVEN LONGER FOR ACCOUNTABILITY.
EVERY TIME WE GET CLOSE, A NEW DISTRACTION APPEARS. BUT WE SEE THE PATTERN NOW, AND WE'RE NOT FORGETTING.
See past the stories your culture runs on and most people will never understand you, let alone believe you. I learned that the hard way. For a long time I thought if I just explained it better, people would come around.
Some did. Most didn't, and I've made peace with that. You don't see clearly to win the room. You do it so you're standing on solid ground when someone finally asks you how you got there.

In 1971 a new house cost about two and a half years of average income. Today it's closer to five. Same house. The dollar just buys less of it every year, and 1971 is the year it was cut loose from gold.
You can explain Bitcoin for hours, show the charts, hand someone the whitepaper. Most people nod and move on. What gets through is watching their savings shrink while they did everything right.
A page like this lets them see it before they learn it the hard way. Orange pilling still works. Sometimes it just needs a receipt.

Oil isn't scarce.
Gas isn't scarce.
Food isn't scarce.
Water isn't scarce.
Scarcity is engineered by the psychopaths running this world. The earth is not empty and the shelves aren't the problem.
There's no shortage.
ONLY CONTROLLED SUPPLY.

The older I get, the more I understand why people used to sit on the porch after dinner and do absolutely nothing.
Honestly, that sounds less like boredom and more like winning.
The vocal range is INSANE…alien fry and all. #MusicStr
