One tool I’ve used to teach my kids low time preference is sitting down and building puzzles with them. I won’t pretend I knew it was working at the time. It just felt like something a dad should do. But I watched it pay off years later, in how they handle a hard thing that doesn’t pay off right away. You’re playing a longer game than you realize at that table. Build the puzzle. Build the stack.
