A quick way to get a positive reaction out of Monero fans, is to criticize Bitcoin.
But fighting among ourselves isn't how we create a circular economy.
And if Roger Ver with a billion dollars couldn't stop the Blockstream propaganda, how are you going to do so with a budget of $0?
Accept them for who they are. And you might be surprised when one day they accept you.

Despite Trump & Israeli rhetoric,
Iran was NOT building a Nuclear weapon.
Don't take my word for it, the director of US National Intelligence told the Senate:

Poll: What's gonna happen with Israel vs Iran?
a) Iran responds with fake fireworks for show, life goes back to normal sanctions
b) Iran responds with a "real" retaliation and/or Trump blows Tehran to bits. Oil in Middle East is crippled. USA is brought into the fray. Hezbollah & Yemen Houthis join in.
c) Happy Times.. Trump & Iran strike a deal. Sanctions lifted
d) Full blown World War 3. Russia bombs Kiev off the map, China seizes Taiwan, North Korea hits South Korea.
e) Economic and political problems (like high oil prices and dropping stocks) force Donald Trump to backoff. This is like choice A, normal sanctions.
You're so busy fighting Bitcoin vs Monero
You let fiat win
Monero users,
Lightning News covered us. I'm trying to get MoneroTalk to cover the project as well because:
As we decentralize out the VPN nodes, Monero influencers should run them as well. Repost this open letter to Doug! You can make a difference here.
~~~~~~~~~
Dear Doug,
The dream of the Bazaar is anyone can offer value and earn in a circular economy.
But there are huge challenges. For the customer to be inconvenienced to get XMR and sync a wallet, just to spend it... there has to be a reason why Monero is better than any other. And for products you have shipped to your home, or services (such as website design) done for a personal business, the vendor usually knows who you are. So most people don't care to be inconvenienced to get anonymous money, for non-anonymous products or services. In fact, even most VPNs see your home IP address, so it's irrelevant if you pay with fiat or XMR.
But what if the product itself was anonymity? Our team has created a unique revolutionary browser fingerprint VPN, that not only hides different isolated profiles from being fingerprinted, but has multiple layers/hops we're decentralizing out. This means the user would dramatically benefit from paying in XMR, since it would separate that the different profiles are them. And we have Monero payments right in the app itself.
Even better, Doug I want you to run a VPN node in the network. So you can earn a stream of XMR, and cash-in on your hard-earned and respected reputation. However, we can not control or censor open-source code. So if we don't allow Bitcoiners, they'll fork it and do their own thing. And if we are unable to get on the MoneroTalk podcast, it's quite possible that the larger Bitcoiner community will dominate our open-source network. In fact, we were just covered in Lightning News after a journalist reached out to us,
Simplified Privacy has done literally everything we could to help Monero's mission. From pledging a deposit to the Bazaar for a parallel PGP legal system, to Monero tutorials to on-board users, and answering questions in our group chats across multiple platforms and social medias. Some members of our group live in really poor or neglected countries, but they still sacrificed to make this happen. Others gave up time with their families or better paying jobs, all for the dream of making a circular economy out of digital cash. We've written tens of thousands of lines of code for this original project, and sacrificed printing our own coin, to help Monero.
So if the dream of the Bazaar is anyone can participate and offer value, even if they are smaller and neglected, and this project uniquely helps Monero adoption, can we please have a chance to present this to MoneroTalk?
Forever Yours,
Simplified Privacy Team
A common misconception about captchas is that the end-user is simply clicking something.
In reality, your PC is asked to render graphics, and compare this to what your hardware, OS, and browser would normally produce. So you think you're "clicking on a bicycle". In reality, your browser is being asked to draw a bicycle, and submit it to a proprietary backend.
Starting with Google's Picasso algorithm in 2016 which could determine if spoofing was fake. Both Google and Cloudflare have evolved with their proprietary systems, to focus on trust scores and fingerprints.
We touched on the basics of this, in this easy meme slideshow:
Fingerprinting Myths: Spoofin, alt-Browers, VMs | Simplified Privacy
Cost to upload a website with some pictures to Arweave is under $5 for 100 years
Cost PER MONTH for a regular "government internet" VPS is $6 to $10. Let's say roughly $84 a year, and that's bare minimum.
At 100 years is $8,400 for one single tiny VPS, which then you have to submit to US law and Cloudflare to protect and serve. And you have to waste time paying for it constantly, maintaining it, securing it, and inflation.
$8400 vs $5. And you're complaining it's in a shitcoin? USD internet is the shitcoin! Open your mind..
If you thought the Iraq war was a waste of money (and lives),
Wait till you see the upcoming war with Iran:
a) The US is in far worse financial shape.
b) Iran is in far better military shape than Saddam was
c) Iraq war 2 was after 9/11, so at least the US had a theoretical moral excuse (even if it was lies). While as this war is on the back of Israel's human rights violations, that have low legitimacy among the rest of the world. And the rest of the world isn't gonna be happy to eat the hike in oil prices, just so Bibi can abuse Gaza.
I've had this exact conversation like 5 times,
Me: To deal with Tor blocks, you need Linux, then install my app. It does Tor->socks5 proxies with new fingerprints.
User: Ok what distro should I use?
Me: Linux Mint is good for beginners
User: I can't load LinuxMint.com, because they block Tor
Me: Yes exactly, Tor blocks is a problem.
User: Well what do I do to deal with it right now for this?
Me: For fucks sake mate, you're using Microsoft Windows "right now". That's like an anal probe up your rectum. Literally just naked ISP download Mint and move on with your life.
The real protest isn't in the streets.
You see the underlying issue with Donald Trump vs Gavin Newsom, is that both sides are motivated to act bad, to get more power.
Trump is motivated to be as egregious with deportations as he can, because he's literally seizing the authority to not obey courts.
And Newsom is motivated to be as egregious with illegal rioters as he can be, because that's his voting base, and he's getting media coverage for the protests.
The worse Trump acts, the worse Newsom can act in response. What's the solution? Opt out. Adopt freedom tech, and create a parallel economy, legal, and social grid among the REAL dissenters.
“AI-generated brain rot"
That's the excuse that was given by the Canadian Broadcasting "Corporation" channel (it's like their government's version of NPR), to push on Google to censor a competitor, which was a large Youtube Channel that was critical of the Canadian government.
Google did indeed takedown and wipe that particular huge channel after this pressure, citing it as a "content farm". [1] But isn't Google's whole routine that AI is good? I mean, they literally made Bard, which is AI.
I think more and more we're going to see things the establishment just disagrees with being labeled "spam". But with AI that has opinions that they want to shove down our throats, that is a "ground-breaking tool". That's why Microsoft's Bing API (which many search engines use, such as Duckduckgo), is shifting to AI only [2]. They're ending giving the actual results, and forcing it to go through their filter, to blend their political opinions with the raw facts.
The end goal is the user can not distinguish between the opinion of the search engine's developer with the underlying truth. I only wish the Canadian government would see Microsoft and Google for what they really are... “AI-generated brain rot"
