I’ve been wanting more goldenrod in my yard for summer pollinators. Canada goldenrod can get taller than I want. I stumbled across this Elegant goldenrod (Solidago lepida) while scoping out a trout filled stream in the mountains. This will be perfect to grow from seed. #plantstr #nativeplants #goldenrod
Fall isn’t for the weak. I’ve got squash to soup-ify! #gardenstr
All might card issuer has ruled in my favor for the fraudulent ANTHROPIC $321.75 from 6/26/26 all hail the Banksters. Appreciate the speed in which this was resolved.
I’ve never been to Peter Sinks. After today I can still say I’ve never been to Peter Sinks. An attempt was made. The access requires 10+ miles of hiking or specialized equipment, which did not bring.
Rain or Shine does not actually include lightning. And much of tonight’s rain has lightning. #matchbox20 #utahfair
With the amount of people growing old and dying everyday. I would think it is time we stop pussyfooting around with dollar bills and politicians and live an abundant life worth living with hard as ₿itcoin as the foundation. And grow the plants you love.
Blake is the Utah state biologist and he observed this rare phenomenon of a queen and monarch on the shore of Utah Lake this week. While the monarch population is low, making them few and far between in Utah. The queen rarely makes it to northern Utah and is an absolute surprise. Having them together on swamp milkweed in late summer is amazing to see. image
Facebook group with 49K members. I try to keep it civil but some members just aren’t that way, so I ban them for calling me names. image
Milkweed supports many bugs, including the monarch butterfly. image
*viewer discretion is advised* Fresh milkweed seeds are irresistible to mice. Knowing this, I remembered to set a fresh trap in the garage a few nights back, to protect the drying seeds. Thank goodness I did. image
With the seed jacket removed. You can clearly see the plant is ready to grow. It just needs warm, wet and bright conditions to fulfill its goal. image
On Sunday a customer discovered an advantageous pricing error on my website and ordered a pound of Showy milkweed seeds for $6. I’d normally price that at $60-$110 but with over 20 showy milkweed SKU’s I left an Easter egg. The customer never asked if the pricing was an error. I never contacted them to say it was an error. I simply converted their dirty six dollars of fiat into bitcoin, along with all the other fiat from that day, and mailed them their order. Each year I strive to lower the price of seed while maintaining strong margins. It is possible to live in abundance. image
The “financial guy” will be available to meet with at my office tomorrow. The lead mechanic who is close to retirement is checking on who would like to meet with him and even bring him to our department location. I politely declined by saying “I have exited the system”. All three people chuckled. Not a single one of them have the slightest clue what I am talking about. And none of them have asked for clarification. It doesn’t bother me one ₿it.
It takes me 7 minutes to process a gallon of showy milkweed pods. When processing multiple gallons back-to-back I average 10 minutes. With hydration breaks i realistically process 5 gallons per hour. I have processed for two hours this week. I have three hours ahead of me, if I collect no more pods.
