Radical postmodernism, a philosophical movement that proceeded the civil rights era, took roughly 50 years to reach its peak where it enjoyed roughly 10 years as the dominant perspective of Americans, but it is steadily in its decline and a lot of people will struggle with a future where essentially antagonizing white and European Americans with impunity will be unpopular.
It was valuable with respects to increasing the overall conscientiousness of Americans, but Americans largely reject it in favor of modernist thinking which achieved things like the separation of church & state, the abolition of chattel slavery, the civil rights and significant scientific advancement.
In this regression, there’s a real threat that pre-modernist thinking can creep up and arise with things like Christian Nationalism and that sort of thing, which is why it’s important for those who subscribed to postmodernism to adapt accordingly.
The failure of postmodernists is that it eventually decayed into belief structures that inevitably lead to acquiring an anti-American and an arguably racist worldview. We, and they, often weaponized grievances of history, revised history and misunderstood much of it as a result. Yet, it achieved the ability to think about increasingly complex problems with regard to climate change, social well-being and the surveillance state.
Either way, the next 5-10 years will be sort of lost and aimless, where a lack of consensus in worldviews will be guaranteed and consequences undetermined. Recommendation algorithms are the big threat here, since they are designed for reaction, producing polarization and echo chambers that remove us from the perspective of others.
It cannot be overstated how important it will be to turn the TV off.

Added Yucatec Maya to my language learning app. Gonna add some quality of life updates later tonight& tomorrow
i busted my nip-60 wallet by hacking around with but @YakiHonne has really grown on me for implementing this!

I’m not a fan of people calling Mexico a “settler-colonial state”. It feels ahistorical and revisitionist. It does not share the same history as the US’ westward expansion. And there is clear reason why Claudia Sheinbaum is a well-regarded president.
The settler-colonial state were the empires the preceded the formation of the idea of the Mexico and the colonies were the subjects of those empires. It is true that land was stolen, not by Mexican nationals, but by the Spanish crown.
The story of mankind fought long and bloody wars to rid itself of monarchal empires which is why democracies today are so allergic to the idea of dictatorships. The consequences of imperial elitism remain today, but decay with each passing day.
Mexico today is a nation where a man from Saudi Arabia or a woman from Japan can choose to immigrate to Mexico and become fully Mexican.
And it is ultimately the duty of Mexicans to restore and revitalize the history and progress of its native people, not to deny it as a relic of the past or reject it as an inferior way of life.
Let’s say you make about $10,000 on nostr through zaps and it lands in your primal wallet. Does any of that money get taxed by the IRS? Or does it just depend on individuals reporting that income?
“Nostr bad, X good”

Most people don’t realize that recommendation algorithms are the root cause of an inevitable civil war.
People naturally think, “civil war? That’s extreme.” Denial is natural when the truth is too painful to bear. But these kinds of things happen in a snap.
These algorithms continue to polarize, naturally, as they are incentivized to specifically optimize for reaction.
And this will continue to happen until an attempted assassination of a president, the murdering of a prominent political influencer, the normalization of a paramilitary executing citizens, and so on.
And by the time we get there, people will want it. And they’ll want more of it too.
I’m finding it’s not really “worth it” to post content like this on Nostr, or even X for that matter. Every algorithm/audience has its preference, which is why this kind of stuff performs best on YouTube.
But whatever. Here’s a video on how we deciphered Mayan writing.
I find it interesting enough to share, but I mostly stopped posting this kind of stuff here
The irony of conservatives always using the Slippery Slope fallacy to dismiss progressive initiatives while starting with "We need voter ID mandated" and ending at "You ought to carry your ID everywhere to prevent federal immigration agents becoming justified in detaining you" isn't lost on me
I don't know what I'm doing wrong when it comes to entrepreneurship. I work on good products, make them super affordable, built an audience of 100,000+ followers, reach out to people who ask for what I'm making, make content that's interesting and there's like no conversion.
Not to compare, but there are people that literally sell total crap and make a living off of it too. I don't get it.
If you want to add nice sound effects into your web app, programmatically generated, feel welcome to use this file or configure it based on your needs. It uses tone.js to do so.

I re-invented my link tree page to use nostr. Now you can instantly launch the language learning app or create a NIP-60/61 wallet to take with you across the education apps that allow you select recipients to effectively create scholarships through the act of learning.
Why? Because on social media I’m often competing with the desire to scroll. So every single click counts because each click competes with the scroll.

It goes without say that if you’re in support of ICE you lack common sense with regard to civil liberties and immigration policy.
Like Kirk’s murder, the recent murder wasn’t justified in any reasonable world. ICE is the arm of a government overextending its powers and preying on the fear of post-9/11 citizens. It serves no other purpose other than that.
To believe otherwise only makes you a useful idiot.
