Satoshi's Reserve is the pinnacle of Peony Lane. It comes from best single barrel from each vintage. Only 210 bottles make the cut.

A wine never feels complete until the labels are in my hand. I started making this wine two years ago and knew this moment would come, but I did not expect it to carry this much gravity. Satoshi’s Reserve will always come from the best barrel of each vintage, but in 2021 I had no Pinot Noir left after a frost devastated my vineyard. I loved the wine I made that year, but Pinot Noir is the heart and soul of Peony Lane and not having it left a real hole to fill. Peony Lane only exists because my dad accomplished his life’s dream, and Satoshi’s Reserve has become the way I honor and elevate that while carving my own path. This Satoshi's Reserve represents the first true incarnation of the pinnacle of Peony Lane. A wine that has proven to be age worthy for at least 18 years, grown at the highest elevation Pinot Noir vineyards in North America. Holding these labels makes all of this feel real.

Releasing Satoshi's Reserve felt like the culmination of my first cycle in Bitcoin. I found Bitcoin while I was making my 2020 wine vintage, and by the next fall I was so obsessed with bitcoin that the energy poured into my wine. For the ‘21 vintage, I pulled my favorite single barrel from the cellar and wrote BTC on the boxes even though I had no idea what it would become or if I would ever be able to sell it. In the 3 years I spent staring at those boxes, Peony Lane went from having the occasional Bitcoin sale to nearly all of its customers being Bitcoiners. I released Satoshi's Reserve on my first Halving. A fitting end to my first epoch. It has been amazing seeing how many of you have already opened your bottles, and hearing about the milestones you are waiting for before you do. I did think the people planning to pop it at $1 million would have had their excuse by now, though. The next vintage of Satoshi’s Reserve is coming very soon, and I wanted to take a moment to say how much I enjoy making wine for Bitcoiners. It gives me a real sense of purpose.
