Stack sats, stack time ⏳️ #Bitcoinβš‘οΈπŸ’» #NOSTR πŸ’œ #FITS Opinion, not financial advice.
"If politicians tried to raise that money through taxes, they would be thrown out of office. But being able to "borrow" it from the Federal Reserve System upon demand, allows them to collect it through the hidden mechanism of inflation, and not one voter in a hundred will complain." - The Creature from Jekyll Island, p83 This is why we #bitcoin
GM @TFTC latest pod with John Carvalho was interesting, with him throwing some shade at #nostr, although I didn't grasp the core of his criticism besides 1) it's just a cultural bridge from X mostly focused on #bitcoin 2) it's different than the Synonym products in some ways [that I didn't capture exactly how they are different and why that's worse for nostr] 3) there is some technical debt in nostr [unclear what exactly] Would appreciate some further insight in how we could build better over in the nostrverse? Cheers
Love this mindset. Wish I would have heard about it a few days ago πŸ˜‰ Treat every meeting with an ignorant normie as a reminder and stay humble. Get #FITS: Stack sats, stack time ⏳ #bitcoin View quoted note β†’
My family gave me a HO HO HODL #bitcoin shirt for Christmas. I'm so proud! Then they said they got 25% return on the stock market this year 🫠
GM! Did you buy the dip? Hardened hodler, you made the right call. Or did you feel insecure whether it was going to come back? Zoom out and don't touch your coins. One more cycle of maturization for you. Or did you panic sell? Good, sell everything you've got and stay out. You can't deal with #bitcoin.
@Alby I'm checking out Alby Go. Love the simplicity! Except for one thing... On Receive, I can select "Withdraw" and I need to paste some info but unclear what should go there. Normally in LN and BTC I expect a BOLT11 invoice, possibly a BOLT12 payment address QR. The person paying me should then scan that, so that I can receive. That seems normal UX to me. Instead, the withdraw option is not well placed or clearly explained within the UX and the flow now becomes me scanning something to receive. I have seen similar inconsistencies in UX before in other wallets, I believe Fountain also had this issue before. If this points at some more obscure standard-defined way of receiving LN bitcoin, how could we improve the UX? Or should we just drop support for this altogether? What's the benefit of this particular method?
