A bin chicken came to visit. It had a battle with a raven who likely dropped some food. The ibis won. A magpie has been coming into our yard each day too, to collect grubs for its chicks in a nearby nest. Finally, four black cockatoos flew over head too. Plus a very large bird of prey that I believe was an eagle. Good to see them all back again. image

Still working & am now listening to @Robin Seyr and @Sourcenode Thanks guys (from a boomer who’s not at all to old for this “thing”, Source Node). LOL :) Source Node and Robin Seyr explore the intersections of Bitcoin, energy grids, and the evolving financial landscape. They discuss the significance of measuring Bitcoin against gold rather than fiat currencies, the cultural implications of gold in different societies, and the relevance of the cypherpunk movement in today's Bitcoin community. The conversation also delves into the sovereign individual thesis, integral theory, and the future of work in a decentralized economy. Takeaways: Bitcoin mining is crucial for energy grids. Gold serves as a better measure for Bitcoin than fiat currencies. The financial system operates on a two-part structure: elites and the general public. Gold retains intrinsic value beyond its monetary premium. The cypherpunk ethos is still present in the Bitcoin community. The sovereign individual thesis is manifesting in modern work trends. Bitcoin miners may evolve into energy producers. Integral theory provides a framework for understanding diverse perspectives. Cultural attitudes towards gold vary significantly across regions. The government has limited sovereignty over individuals' financial choices. Chapters: 00:00 The Sovereign Individual Thesis and Bitcoin's Role 05:12 Gold vs. Bitcoin: A New Measure of Value 11:46 The Future of Gold in a Bitcoin World 16:13 Central Banks and the Shift to Bitcoin 27:01 The Genesis Book: Understanding Bitcoin's Origins 32:36 The Cypherpunk Movement and Bitcoin's Evolution 39:16 The Future of Bitcoin Podcasts and Adoption 42:09 The Future of Energy and Bitcoin Mining 46:06 The Rise of the Sovereign Individual 55:02 Navigating Political Landscapes and Personal Freedom 01:06:08 Understanding Integral Theory 01:17:27 Insights Beyond Bitcoin

While I work, I like to choose Youtube podcasts or info videos to listen to. This is the next one I’m listening to today. In this episode, Nik breaks down the latest developments in the repo market, the Fed’s growing concern over reserve scarcity, and how these forces connect to America’s reindustrialization strategy. He explains how the shift from LIBOR to SOFR reflects a deeper geopolitical pivot, explores the U.S.–China economic dynamic, and outlines how new capital investment, dollar weakness, and expanding liquidity could drive Bitcoin’s next major cycle. Chapters: 00:00 Repo Market Update & Recent Volatility 02:28 Understanding Repo Spreads and Recent Spikes 05:04 SOFR vs. LIBOR & Why Benchmarks Matter 09:19 Collateral, Treasuries, and the Money Market Machine 14:00 Reserves, QT, and The Federal Reserve's Next Steps 20:33 Yield Curve, Private Credit, and Macro Risks 29:31 America's Capex Boom: The Grand Strategy 36:31 China, Supply Chains, and U.S. Policy Shifts 43:00 Key Sectors for Reindustrialization & JP Morgan's Role 45:39 Rare Earths: Supply, Risk, and U.S. Response 47:59 Bitcoin’s Role in the Coming Capital Flows 48:39 Bitcoin Volatility and Macro Signals 52:22 U.S. Dollar, Policy Trends, and Risk Assets 53:01 Bitcoin Price Levels, Volatility Outlook & Wrap Up

Beautiful day. I have all windows and doors open. Do that every chance I get. Here in Perth, that's almost all year round, other than around two to three Winter months. Even then, there are several nice days when I can open up the whole house. 🧡✨ image

#169 Of 365 Forward Steps Notes Wisdom On The Web I spotted this article, titled What You Say Matters, in the free Living On Purpose ezine from Ken Keis, President & CEO of CRG International Inc., and received permission to post it at the Forward Steps blog for you. In many of my own writings I have emphasized similar points often enough, and Ken’s article just drove it home once more. (Link is below) Life Power Tip If you cannot see the wood for the trees, it is time to step away for a bit! “Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer; since to remain constantly at work will cause you to lose your power of judgment. Go some distance away because the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance, and a lack of harmony or proportion is more readily seen.” -Leonardo Da Vinci Action Plant a herb garden outside your kitchen door. Challenge Just for one day, let go of control. Ease it up a little today. Quote Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning. -Mahatma Gandhi Clearing Have a central place to list items you need to get, avoid many short trips. Question What can you do on a daily basis to energize your goals? Affirmation I choose to feel more and more grateful. Uplifting Extra The Little Book Of Flow sets out to show how, instead of trying to fathom the conditions for flow, we can realise this ’true nature’ and make ’flow’ our normal way of being, wherever we are and in whatever we do. You can get The Little Book Of Flow here. “Those all too rare moments, when we experience flow, when we are truly creative, happy and intuitively know exactly what is needed, are simply those instances when we glimpse our original and true nature.” -Nick Smith (Link is below) Enjoy today’s video too! Was so into what I was doing that I hadn't even noticed the cloud forming outside the window to right of me. The sun was shining brightly through the window to my left. 🧡✨😄
