Learning a lot from nostr. Pretty concerned about the regulated exchanges I've used in the US. Needed to supply pictures of my face and govt id to gain access (KYC). I'm feeling like Bitcoin is being co-opted into a CBDC by the US govt.

I am not a cypher punk (yet). I hear wasabi wallet can be used to clean KYC coins via coin join. I am skeptical that it is effective because I don't see govt action against wasabi wallet in the same way that tornado cash and samurai wallet creators have been persecuted. Can someone share some knowledge? How to improve my privacy situation? Also what's the status on regulated exchanges accepting non KYC coin if I need fiat? Is this an issue?

@jack mallers , I signed up for strike today. Mostly because of the no fee DCA and no fee to withdraw to self custody. Awesome. Pretty disappointed with the UI though. What's the point of this graph? No units or ticks on either Axis. No ability to plot on a log axis. I'm a believer in the BTC power law fits. Would be helpful to see when price is above or below trend line. Do better please.

I am somewhat ignorant in the core/knots debate. My understanding is the core v30 allows jpegs to be added to the block chain. Thus if someone uploads child porn to the block chain, everyone running a full node will have that on their machine, and thus become a target for prosecution in many jurisdictions. Knots prevents jpegs from fitting on the block chain. Do I have that right?

Govt distortion of money has led to excess in some sectors ( over investment) and atrophy in others. We 've seen this before with the failure of the Soviet Union. Central planning does not allocate resources as efficiently as free markets. As I search for a new job, it's clear that the pay is far better in defence. I don't want to make systems designed to kill. I need to support my family. How to uphold my values and earn enough to support our lifestyle? Yes, Bitcoin is the answer. Why doesn't anyone else see it?

The traditional system of negotiating a salary and locking in that pay regardless of value created is so primitive. Saw my company fire a guy once because he couldn't fulfill the job requirements. Then he lost visa sponsorship. That's doesn't mean he provided no value. If there was a way to reduce his pay to be commensurate with the value he provided, that would have been far more civilized. Same goes for top performers. Putting in the extra mile is disincentivized because you get no reward for the extra effort. V4v addresses this, but how to apply it to something like industrialized manufacturing?
