So called trade agreements are one of the most obvious examples of government tyranny over simple human economic interaction

Last week, I caught 2 nostriches with ruffled feathers in the Kalahari. I assume someone brought up op_return again.

Many central and local governments seem to be focussing a little on capital flight with exit taxes and other extortion. Thinking just about the money ignores long term impact of flight of human capital. No understanding to long term value.
Nostriches back in the err hen house? For sunset. Hoping for an omelette in the morning!

Sunset in the karoo. Nice way to finish the day. Waiting for the stars

So I had a good lesson yesterday. Flat tyre literally in the middle of nowhere in Kalahari desert at 2pm! I had to get a towel to put on the ground to make sure didn't touch it as it was so hot. I had instinct reaction and took jack out and started jacking the car up. Fortunately didn't waste the effort of dropping the spare tyre before realising mistake. Jacked down the car, got compressor out, inflated tyre and poured water over it. I identified the puncture and it was quite small. Moved the car to have puncture more accessible and got the tyre repair kit out. Fixed in 5 minutes, fully reflated and got on my way.
Highly recommend having both a compressor and repair kit in vehicle if heading into isolated areas but also, stop and think. Due to heat and going slow, whole thing took half an hour but could've been a quick 5 minute job. Good lesson for me!
GM nostr! Today started with a rather colourful spectacle.

Few days offline in the desert. Totally re energises! And great company on some drives.

GM and merry Christmas nostr!
Love south Africa. Such a beautiful country. Its odd though. When you see the amount of rubbish everywhere, it's like the population living here hate it!
All aligned for a great day!

Love quiver trees. So unusual

Another 305kg of gold removed from bullionvault? That's some serious stacking!
