In 2013, Tillis supported a motorcycle safety bill that had been surreptitiously amended to include restrictions on abortion. Tillis has received criticism from animal protection groups for cosponsoring the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act, which would limit the ability of states to regulate the sale of meat from animals raised on farms that do not meet animal welfare standards.
