We brought our watermelon back from the supermarket and put it on the kitchen counter. Soon after, it started to foam. A Google search revealed that it needed to be taken out of the house immediately as it might explode from fermentation. We put it in a plastic trash bag and carefully lowered it into our trash can outside. This morning we noticed that the watermelon had exploded and made a hole in the bottom of the trash can. There were maggots everywhere. 😰🍉 I didn't know it was possible at all so I prefer to share the information! image
Born in 1821 in Nykøbing Falster, Rödder came from a wealthy noble family of German descent and pursued medical studies in Copenhagen. In 1856, while traveling in Italy, he stumbled upon strange writings and bizarre specimens. This encounter introduced him to the famed crypto-naturalist and xeno-archaeologist Thomas Merrylin from London. Inspired by Merrylin, Rödder shifted his focus to the occult and the Dark World, amassing an extraordinary collection of cryptozoological artifacts that now resides in the museum. Vampires, fairies, baby dragons, werewolves… Welcome to the Museum Obscurum! Homo lupus, The Lycanthrope Commonly known as the "werewolf," this Homo lupus specimen belongs to a species of bipedal hominid, closely related to Homo sapiens and Homo vampyrus (vampire). Its wolf-like traits may result from a genetic mutation caused by a virus. This particular specimen is a 15-year-old female who likely died from starvation. She was the last acquisition of anthropologist Edward Harrell, a colleague of Thomas Merrylin. . image
Sanctuary Wildlife Photography Awards 2024 – Second Prize – Pradyut Kumar Das No Holds Barred - Slam! Dunk! Kapow! It’s a battle worthy of a televised boxing match. In Tal Chhapar, Rajasthan, male spiny-tailed lizards Saara hardwickii engage in a fierce showdown for dominance. During mating season, territorial males throw caution to the wind, vying for the attention of females in an intense, no-holds-barred fight. Biting, kicking, tail-lashing, and body slamming – nothing is off the table. Their target? The soft underbelly, where victory or defeat is often decided. These lizards’ thick, spiny tails, packed with caloric reserves, act as lifelines during lean months. But they also make them prime targets for predators. Even more perilous is their tail’s reputation as both an aphrodisiac and a cure-all in traditional medicine, sparking rampant poaching. As a result, Saara hardwickii has vanished from much of India, pushed to the brink of extinction. Pradyut Kumar Das brilliantly captured this high-stakes duel, earning second place in the prestigious Sanctuary Wildlife Photography contest for his stunning portrayal of nature’s raw intensity. 🎥 : Pradyut Kumar Das #WildlifePhotography #photography #nature #conservation #photography #SeekSanctuary #species #CalloftheWild image
How to Truly Respect Yourself Respecting yourself begins with recognizing your worth and refusing to chase after those who fail to see it. Stop seeking approval from others, begging for attention, or needing validation. You are enough as you are. When you understand your own value, others will begin to see it, too. Speak less, but make every word you utter carry the weight of your wisdom and conviction. Every time you open your mouth, let your words reflect your integrity, your strength, and your deep self-respect. Don’t be afraid to assert yourself when disrespect shows its face—stand up for yourself without hesitation, as your dignity deserves to be defended. Guard your energy carefully. Don’t overindulge in the generosity of others if it’s not reciprocated, and never allow yourself to become someone's emotional crutch if it’s not mutual. Similarly, limit your time with those who don’t appreciate you. Life is too short to spend it in the company of people who don’t honor your presence. Surround yourself with those who uplift you and remind you of your worth. Invest in your own happiness and growth. Prioritize your own well-being because when you care for yourself, you become stronger and more capable of showing up for others. Avoid the temptation to fall into negativity and gossip—it’s an energy drain that takes away from your own personal power. Keep your thoughts and conversations rooted in positivity, and always remember that your words shape the world around you. Before you speak, think carefully. Your words define you and hold the power to uplift or tear down. Choose them wisely, for they are a reflection of how you see yourself. Likewise, how you present yourself to the world matters. Dress in a way that makes you feel powerful and confident—let your outward appearance reflect the strength you carry within. Focus on your goals, stay productive, and keep pushing forward. Your dreams and aspirations deserve your undivided attention. Protect your time—it is your most precious resource. How you spend it speaks volumes about how much you respect yourself. Don’t waste it on people or situations that drain you. In relationships, don’t be afraid to walk away from those that no longer serve you. You deserve to be valued, and if someone doesn’t recognize your worth, it’s time to leave. Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. Whether it’s time, money, or energy, treat yourself to what you deserve. This teaches the world to respect your value as well. Sometimes, be unavailable. Your presence should not be taken for granted, and stepping away can create the space for others to appreciate you more deeply. Always strive to give more than you take, and let your generosity be a reflection of your character. Life isn’t about taking as much as you can—it’s about creating a balance of give and take that nourishes both you and those around you. Be mindful of where you spend your time. Only go where you’re invited, and when you’re there, know when to leave. Don’t overstay your welcome. Show respect for the space you occupy and for the people you share it with. In your interactions, treat others with the same kindness and respect that you expect in return. You know what it feels like to be treated with dignity, so extend that same courtesy to others. Lastly, don’t chase after missed calls. Two missed calls are enough—if they care, they’ll call back. Your time and energy are precious, and it’s up to you to decide who is worthy of them. Strive for excellence in everything you do, not for the approval of others, but because you know you are capable of greatness. Pursue your best self with relentless determination and unapologetic pride. Your journey toward self-respect is an ongoing process, but know this: you are worthy of love, happiness, and success. Start respecting yourself today, and the world will begin to mirror that respect back to you in ways you never imagined. image
Discovered in 1974 by a farmer in Xi'an, China, the Terracotta Army isn’t just ancient art—it’s a monumental display of hubris and relentless ambition from 2,200 years ago. With over 8,000 clay soldiers, each boasting unique facial features and standing between 6 and 6.4 feet tall, these aren’t your run-of-the-mill historical curiosities. Add to that the 520 horses, 130 chariots, and 150 cavalry horses, and you’ve got an army on display that screams excess. These figures were crafted to protect the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the audacious first emperor of China, who dared to seek immortality and beyond. The craftsmanship is stunning; sophisticated techniques enabled artisans to churn out these figures en masse while ensuring each one stood out with its individuality, some of which still reveal traces of their vibrant, original paint. This isn’t just history—it’s a testament to one man’s egotistical gamble against time itself. image
Breaking discovery at the Pyramids of Giza! In 2022, researchers Corrado Malanga (University of Pisa) and Filippo Biondi (University of Strathclyde) published groundbreaking peer-reviewed research using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology that revealed never-before-seen structures inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. Now, their latest findings on the Pyramid of Khafre — the second-largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau — have stunned the scientific and archaeological community. 🛰 Using proprietary software that translates radar signals into phononic information, they reconstructed the 3D internal layout of Khafre’s pyramid and what lies beneath it. What they discovered is nothing short of mind-blowing: 🔹 5 massive structures near the base of the pyramid, connected by geometric passageways. Each contains 5 horizontal levels and sloped roofs. 🔹 Beneath these lie 8 vertical cylindrical wells, hollow and encircled by spiral descents — dropping 648 meters into the earth. 🔹 These cylinders converge into two massive underground cubes, each about 80 meters per side — forming part of a system that extends two kilometers beneath the plateau… beneath all three pyramids. This isn’t just a void. It’s a designed, functional underground complex. Mainstream Egyptology has long told us the pyramids were tombs. But these findings — combined with the pyramid’s precise use of Pi, the golden ratio, and even the speed of light — challenge that narrative. image

The wolf never eats corpses, neither animals, nor people; it spends its whole life with a partner, it does not mate with its mother or sister; it is a monogamous animal, it does not deceive. If a partner dies, the wolf remains alone; it knows its young ones well: it is the only animal that helps their parents after deep old age and brings them food. *sometimes the bad thing in the movie is not how they portray it 🤨 Credits goes to the respective owner Follow us University of life image
“400km vs 384,400km. But look at the alignment.” This image shows the International Space Station (ISS) seemingly floating just above the Moon. In reality, the ISS is only 400km above Earth — a mere stone’s throw in space terms — while the Moon sits 384,400km away. Two objects separated by unimaginable distance… captured in a single frame, for a split second, thanks to perfect alignment and insane precision. It’s not just a photo. It’s a masterclass in: • Timing • Perspective • Preparation It’s a reminder that even the most impossible alignments can happen — not because things are close, but because someone was patient enough to wait, focused enough to prepare, and smart enough to press the shutter at the right millisecond. This world rewards those who show up ready. image
I choose to remember you Not for the pain you caused me, But for the way you taught me to mend my own wounds, To gather the broken pieces and heal with grace. Not for the way you walked away, But for how you showed me the strength To stand tall and never abandon myself, No matter how lonely the road became. Not for the way you shattered my spirit, But for how you ignited a fire within me To rebuild from the ashes And rise stronger than ever before. Not for how you dimmed the light in my soul, But for how you unknowingly pushed me To find my own radiance And let it shine without fear. Not for how you kept me anchored In the shallow waters of comfort, But for how you challenged me To break free and dive into the vast, uncharted ocean of growth. Not for how you made me feel small and powerless, But for how you taught me to fight back And discover the fierce strength That had been buried within me all along. Not for how you tried to mold me Into someone I never was, But for how you inspired me To redefine myself on my own terms. And above all, I choose to remember you Not for your inability to love me The way I deserved, But for how you unknowingly guided me To fall deeply and irrevocably In love with myself. image
“The plain fact is that education is itself a form of propaganda - a deliberate scheme to outfit the pupil, not with the capacity to weigh ideas, but with a simple appetite for gulping ideas ready-made. The aim is to make 'good' citizens, which is to say, docile and uninquisitive citizens.” —H. L. Mencken image
The cross was there… but they didn’t make it. Leaders. Warriors. Preachers. Anointed, called, even used by God. But they stopped obeying. They let pride in. Or lust. Or the love of position. Some simply grew tired of denying themselves. And slowly… they drifted. Until the cross was no longer near — but distant. Unreachable. And the enemy surrounded them. This image is not just symbolic — it’s a warning. I’ve seen it in real life. Men who started strong but didn’t finish well. Not because God changed… but because they did. Young men, listen. Don’t chase platforms, titles or applause. Chase the King. Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness. Take up your cross daily. Deny yourself. And stay the course — no matter the cost. Hell is patient. But so is Heaven. Finish well. image
