going through contents of basement box by box sorting everything ... i have computer parts as old as 30 years in there i found a fucking BALL MOUSE there that wasn't even opened - still in original packaging i can't believe i am only throwing all this shit out now because this is the first time i am "downsizing" and have to throw shit out ... well the actual house in Orlando is the same size as in NJ but there are no basements in Florida so the contents of the basement have to get decimated ... also i lied this isn't the first time i had to do this. when we came to America we only took with us what could go on a plane - so we pretty much threw or gave away EVERYTHING. this time around i am not constrained by what i can MOVE - i can move as much shit as i want - either by driving a truck myself or by renting a PODS container - rather there is simply not enough space in Florida for all the shit i have in the basement i just tossed like five GeForce graphics card into E-Waste bin. turns out i have been buying those like every 3 years for the past 20 years or so despite not playing games. also tossed a bunch of RAM and CPUs in there. i feel like i will be able to get the volume of junk down to the size i need to fit into the new house but fuck son the sheer amount of WORK required to sift through it all ! no wonder i have been putting it off for 30 years ! ! !
