so last time i was trimming the hedge i saw a snake run towards the hedge to hide and when i saw it i immediately packed up and went home LOL this was a few days ago since then i have done some research and there are several species of venomous snakes in Florida and those motherfucks absolutely hide in the hedges and you can absolutely get bit by them if you stick your hand in there the problem is to properly develop the hedge you have to in fact stick your hand in there. just going over the top with a power tool is not a best practices technique - it's simply what landscape Americans a.k.a. beaners do because they are human garbage and they always do a quick, dirty and shit job of everything so now i have to go there and continue what i was doing before but while being paranoid AF and constantly looking for venomous snakes UGH !

pro tip when buying electric lawnmowers - make sure it is the kind that can combine the power of two batteries - this way you can use two small batteries instead of a one big battery - then you can use the smaller batteries in hand held tools like string trimmer if you get a lawnmower that uses a single giant battery you won't be able to use it for hand held tools as it will be too heavy luckily my lawnmower uses two batteries and the ones i have aren't too big so i won't need to buy any extra batteries for the string trimmer my mower can either on a single large battery or two small ones. i originally bought two small ones because of shipping regulations for lithium not allowing returns of large batteries due to fire hazard. by getting two small ones instead i snuck in just under the cutoff capacity that could be returned if i wasn't happy with the product. the extra benefit is i can now use the same batteries for hand held yard tools. it would have been a major fuck up if i got a mower with a single large battery, and yet that's how most powerful mowers are. of course the shitty ones you can buy at home depot probably use a single small battery but honestly who cares i mean WTF is a "ryobi" ? you want to buy an electric lawn mower from a company that has a large ecosystem of yard tools so that you can use the same batteries across many tools. luckily EGO has just that.

so a few days ago when i randomly woke up at 5 AM i decided to start setting my alarm to 5 am every day instead of just waking up at random times every day ( like 4 pm ) as i have for the past 15 years ... so far i am sticking with it. getting up at 5 am every day. honestly waking up with alarm clock is horrible - it is brutal torture - being able to sleep for 12 hours and wake up naturally was heaven by comparison - but it had to be done because the only 24/7 gyms here are not to my liking. Anytime Fitness is too small and EOS is too cheap and also too far away. furthermore there are only specific times of the day when i can do yard work, and i need to do it almost every day to keep up with the speed at which things are growing down here with all the sun and rain that Florida gets. my mental acuity is well down though, even from where it already was from just normal aging. without alarm clock i felt good almost all the time, but also half the time i was awake was at night and i couldn't do the things that needed to be done. now i feel like shit most of the time but i no longer miss anything because i was sleeping when it was time to do it. sadly as much as this sucks i will continue using the 5 am alarm clock because i honestly can't afford to go back to my old luxury lifestyle of sleeping all day. i could get away with it in NJ because there was a lot less yard work and my pool was indoor but i can't get away with it in FL. @Prince Aleph

one of the reasons i chose Orlando over Boston is - no potholes In Boston i was scared to drive on my 19" rims because there were potholes everywhere. Combined with the several feet of snow they get every winter i knew i would have to switch to an SUV to live there. in Florida not only is there no snow - there are no potholes either this isn't because Florida fixes potholes - it's because they don't appear in the first place. Potholes are caused by water freezing in pavement cracks breaking the pavement - this simply doesn't happen here. In fact the pavement doesn't even get cold enough to crack to begin with. I was hitting a pothole on average every 5 minutes in Boston. i don't think i hit a single pothole in Florida the entire time i was here. I already switched to Summer Tires before driving down here but now i also figure i don't need any more sidewall than i have. In New Jersey i wanted a taller sidewall but couldn't get a sports car without low profile tires - now i don't even care. Florida is awesome if you're a car guy. Or a motorcycle guy. Or an e-bike guy. Not so much if you're into pedaling or jogging - way too hot for that. But you can swim outdoors year round though, which is more important for me.
