the racist joke among kids in NYC always was that Chinese can't drive but yesterday i was doing some research and only 10-15 percent of Shanghai residents own cars so it may be a joke but it is true Aruvin is originally from Asia and although he apparently lived in LA ( which is car centric ) apparently he didn't like it very much ( except the part about shooting porn ) perhaps because he is a shitty Asian driver meanwhile i was already totaling cars at 2X speed limit in High School i should have realized Aruvin was a lost cause regarding cars because he is AZN who can't drive but i had somehow forgotten about that old stereotype until yesterday when i was researching transportation in Shanghai this is the hope liberals have - keep kids away from driving long enough to where it will be foreign to them then it will be easy to convince them to embrace "walkability" @Prince Aleph

looks like the Chinese are finally discovering suburbs but only the rich in China can live in them 90 percent must live in apartments like Aruvin Cockroaches so maybe it is a bit early to move to China not too early to start preparing though

the climate in Shanghai: is roughly comparable to that of Charleston, South Carolina: based on my research Charleston was actually my preferred climate. i visited it a few times but it just ultimately had too many niggers and overall was pretty run down. i chose Orlando because Orlando had a "city of the future" vibe similar to Shanghai whereas Charleston has a "remnants of colonial south" vibe. but i loved the nature in Charleston - even the earth smelled like flowers. based on my experience Shanghai would have very good nature / weather for things like landscaping / gardening. if i ever leave Florida it will probably be for China. @Prince Aleph
