Managed to cut 12 bars out of the soap i made yesterday 👍🏻 Not too bad for a home made soap cutter. It needs taller sides but that's the futures problem 🤣 #uk #brits #soap #homemade #tallow

First bed done. On to the next one. Also forgot to share this years fallow bed has been mulched. Just need the manure to turn up so it can be added on top and then the bed gets covered over for the year. That should kill off any perenial roots and encourage bacterial and fungal growth in the soil. #uk #brits #allotment #fungal #soil #life

Made another batch of soap. Experimenting with a greaseproof paper liner rather than the silicone liner. The last batch had a few go rancid, but i dont think i let them cure properly. I'll also look into preservatives like vitamin E or Grapeseed extract. The small cut off pringles can at the front is for the extra mix that wont fit in the main mold. Managed to get a jalapeño and two habanero chilli plants through winter alive.. Transplanted them back into the greenhouse when the weather had a bit more spring like during the week. Hopefully they will be ok during the cooler days we having now. There is no ideal time to do this. The fiat mine tried to break me, i've had 4 guys from another site with me for some training on our automated sytems, a team over from austria for two days doing stress testing on that system and a national meeting on efficiency and productivity. So 40 managers and site leaders looking over the same automated system. All organised independently by different departments and then dumped on my desk 😱 But i bent and flexed with it and didn't break. Evening all 👋🏻 I've been quiet this week as i have some stuff going on. But it's getting resloved soon. In the mean time life carries on a pace. The pips from a random red apple tree have finally sprouted and been planted up. I have no idea the variety of this apple. All i know is it's red very sweet.
