I can reflect on the thought I just had, analyzing its meaning and potential consequences — or whether it’s better to do the opposite. Or, I can simply choose to be present.

Anger is the mist of clarity trying to break through. If I don’t give it a name or a story, it can return to being light.

Visiting the Prado Museum leaves mixed feelings. The symbolic appropriation of other cultures in religious art is evident. The Catholic Church seems to have used art as a tool to instill both fear and beauty, as part of a strategy of ideological control. I have nothing against Jesus, but I do condemn the atrocities committed by the Church: its cultural appropriation and the systematic suppression of truths — even those related to Jesus himself. image

Everything that happens, even what is painful, cooperates with the order of the cosmos. Oppositions are not enemies, but parts of a single universal reason (logos), working toward a just end — even if we cannot see it right away.

If you neglect your soul, you don’t just lose yourself, you become a loss to the world. If you cultivate virtue, wisdom, and strength, you become useful not only to yourself, but to everyone you will meet. Your effort is an investment in others as well.

Clinging blindly to a single opinion — even your own — is not a sign of wisdom or dialogue, but of fanaticism or sectarianism.

Do not follow a path because of the number of footprints, but for its inner direction toward virtue. Many footprints lead to ruin.
