A good (rainy) morning indeed! ☔
A week ago I decided to save my houseplants that were neglected (oops). There was only 1 viable Dahlia bulb left. I soaked it on water and repotted it with fresh soil and fertilizer.
7 days later and there's a sprout! 🌿

🎨🐛☔ Today we read a book about an impatient caterpillar, practiced recalling and sequencing events with a cut/paste worksheet, painted caterpillars with paper towels rolls, & played in the rain (actually mud). ☔🐛🎨

🌼🦋🐛 Tuesday was all about butterflies to prep for our field trip to a butterfly sanctuary next week! First we read a book about butterflies & moths. Then we reviewed their lifecycle with flashcards and completed a worksheet to glue to phases in order. Yes I'm aware my kiddos are out of order! I was under duress. 🤣 Lots of big feelings for both kiddos. Then we did a butterfly mirror painting craft. 🐛🦋🌼
Good morning. I enjoyed our plants this morning while sipping my coffee.
I watered the hydrangea and the rose bush. The rose bush will be 5 years old next month. I got it for my first Mother's Day. Notice the giant overgrown green onion (chives) plant that we let grow wild. 🤣 I consider it a science experiment at this point.
