🌿 January Week 3 Co-op 🌿 💑🥚 At our meet, we practiced writing upper & lowercase letters A-J using ziploc bags filled with paint. We also read a book about planting the seed of kindness and conducted an experiment using eggs. We observed that all of the eggs were different colors on the outside, but they all looked the same on the inside. We took note of our findings on a worksheet. Hopefully the kiddos internalized the lesson and will practice kindness in the future. 🥚💑
🌿 January Week 2 Co-op 🌿 ❄️ We are so glad that we were able to finally see our homeschool friends after the holidays. We missed week 1 because Saxon and I were both sick. We had a brief reprieve in the middle of last week to attend science class at least. ❄️ ☃️ At our meet, we identified upper & lowercase letters L-Z using snowman flashcards and a snow globe worksheet. We also made handprint snowflake crafts. ☃️ ❄️ I do want to mention that social media posts don't show the entire picture. Riley has really been struggling with big feelings (tantrums) while I'm teaching. The other parents are so nice and understanding, but of course I'm a little embarrassed. Although you may see smiles and cute crafts in the photos, that doesn't mean that I don't struggle with parenting at times too. ❄️ ☃️ We've had lots of exciting changes since the new year. Our co-op now has a website (thank you @OceanSlim) , t-shirts, and are accepting donations. I am so proud of what Amber and I have accomplished so quickly. ☃️ ❄️ We are currently looking for fundraising activities because we are donation-based and would like to offer scholarships to families to assist with paying for field trips, t-shirts, etc. If you would like to contribute, check out our website at or send lightning payments to littlewrens@cash.app. Also, if you have any suggestions for fundraising, please DM me! ❄️ If you've made it this far, thank you for your support. ♥️
Yesterday we continued our homeschool lessons from December. We worked on matching lower and uppercase letters, vowels, & pronunciation with The Good and the Beautiful. We took a wiggle dance break before cracking open a Kiwi Crate. We read a book about reptiles and completed 2 reptile crafts before Saxon started running a fever. She seems fine today so hopefully we'll have a healthy weekend! @OceanSlim
🫧🐢 January Science Class 🐢🫧 We learned about hexagon shapes in nature and completed various activities such as: observing hexagon shaped objects, a turtle shell bubble craft, storytime about bees, & a shape identification game. Unfortunately we missed our Tuesday Co-op due to my illness and will be missing Friday story time due to Saxon's illness. We surely miss our homeschool friends. ♥️ @OceanSlim
@OceanSlim taking the lead and making a website for our homeschool co-op. Oh my heart. 🥺♥️ This is just a template, it will be so beautiful once we're done! image
Clarification: Let's set the scene. I'm scrolling Instagram. A former friend from highschool who's neck deep peddling skincare products from a MLM company posts a reel. Her husband stands awkwardly next to her holding his golf bag as they "act" out a skit that goes something like this - Her husband had permission to go golfing but it's raining. She pretends to be distraught with an overlay of audio voiced by Jennifer Coolidge. I originally felt like he was cucked on the first watch, but now I just feel sorry for him. You can tell this dude doesn't want to be filmed. View quoted note →
I saw these rugby polos in Walmart and wondered why they looked so familiar... 🐾 image
How to tell whether your husband is sick or not: he calls you by your first name. I feel like that's a crime against humanity. Jk.
🌿 Week 19 Co-op 🌿 🎁🎅🎄 We enjoyed our 4th indoor meet with Christmas bingo and a tacky sweater craft. It was bittersweet because it was our last meet of the year and my partner in crime Ms. Amber wasn't able to join us due to surgery. Luckily we have amazing families in our co-op that helped me put together a "healing" gift basket for her. Once we got home we read the Nativity story and completed a sticker craft. One of Santa's helpers mailed us a letter from Santa too!🎄🎅🎁
🎄Co-op storytime #4 🎄 I read a story about community and giving to those that are less fortunate. Then we decorated Christmas cards to donate to CURE Childhood Cancer and painted salt dough ornaments. We can't wait for Ms. Amber to heal and join us in January. ♥️
6 months ago I couldn't have imagined my teaching skills being used to lead a homeschool co-op. I feel like God had his hand in this.
🌿 Week 18 Co-op 🌿 🎄🍬🦌 We enjoyed our 3rd indoor meet with storytime, a reindeer rhyming game, candy cane name craft, & playtime. 🦌🍬🎄
We had a weekend full of birthday celebrations. We hosted our friend's daughter's 1st birthday party on Saturday and celebrated my birthday on Sunday. 🎉 @OceanSlim
Today I turned 32. I am blessed beyond measure thanks to my husband. This was my first birthday as a stay at home, homeschool, mom. I can't wait to see what the next year has in store. Cheers to another year. 🎉 @OceanSlim image
There's nothing hotter than a man that checks your air pressure when the light comes on. Dad's keeping families safe 🔥 @OceanSlim
🌿 Week 17 Co-op 🌿 🎄♥️ We enjoyed our 2nd indoor meet with a cover the letter game, Christmas tree craft, handmade cardigans & playtime ♥️🎄
