Repurposing mine reclamations as part of closures is a proactive way to reduce liability costs for the owner. The owner could also fund its maintenance costs through mining since they’ll need power at the site if they’re required to continually pump and manage seepage.

Some hard rock mines can produce more than one metal depending on the ore and processing. A secondary metal, like molybdenum, can be recovered downstream of a primary metal like copper.
I’m bullish that in the future some mines will make use of energy and processes on site that help mine Bitcoin. There’s lots of heat and moving pieces that could be harnessed to do so.
Grilled short ribs with a companion to start the day outside in Gods perfect light.
You can just do things.

Going to try pitching using industrial processes at mine sights to power Bitcoin miners at a conference next week.
Recently went to Italy. Have to say it’s something else to see these structures that are here 100s of years later. All built by people who wouldn’t live to see their completion. Stone work is a nearly forgotten art. It must be a treasure to work on the restoration of these beautiful works of art.

The speed of interactions of light occurs on quantum scale. This is partly why your light environment is upstream of everything else. Food and supplements impact you for sure, but their impacts are driven by light environment.

Nostr is value-scrolling.
Inflation is the tide that fucks all boats.
The no gym no problem isn’t helpful if you’re without the means to get to your objective. However, that doesn’t mean you’re without means. Awkward object carries for time will serve you well after being in cars and planes for hours. Just see how long you can go before you need to stop. 50lbs / hand for five minutes is a great start.

When indoors:
Daytime - yellow colored glasses
Evening - red colored glasses.
These protect your eyes from isolated wavelengths of light (particularly blue) that can mis-cue your body on time of day.
When outside don’t wear any sun glasses, unless of course you’re in a high glare environment.
You’ll sleep better and fall asleep easier.
Readying for fall goes beyond cozy sweaters and hot drinks. Prepping for winter(time of rest) will make your biology work better for you.
Easy ways to get AM cold exposure
- colder shower 3min
-shorts/commando outside 10min.
-of course, getting AM sun is key.
Do these to signal to your body that cold seasons are coming and make dietary adjustments as well.
Eat local, seasonal
- colder temps -> eat closer to the ground (squash, tubers for example)
-meats, fats
Costs up on everything and a decrease in value/effort.
This is happening in the copper mining and related civil industry. Sure there are shilly consultants and whatnot (big M) but even design companies are giving low level engineering design and behind on everything.
I cannot help but think that decades of inflation and poor incentives are coming to roost. They’re expected to work well beyond standard hrs and provide gold standard for cheaper. Rates are coming higher to recoup losses.
Client requests also drive this but the ballooning of staff to do work for the same mine tonnage with lower recovery makes production even more critical.
Perhaps engineering and mineral extraction can be revived on a bitcoin standard. Value for value.
Key points for training for me:
Does the session have a goal that give me goose bumps? Y/N
Can I do this outside? Y/N
Will I feel better afterwards if either are done Y/N
Then it’s a simple choice. :)
Hope this helps.
Everything you plan out and work towards has to start with your Goal or Objective. This orients yourself correctly. You know where to start better if you know where you need to go.
Also it’s likely that the simplest approach is more sustainable and best to build complexity on.

Daily reminder: get outside and see the sun. There is no substitute for it :)
Daily reminder: get in nature as best as you can.
Yesterday I was out all day fishing and enjoyed every minute of it.
The internet can be a powerful substrate for the world but nothing was as grounding as watching nature thru the day during the fall. The world is spectacular.
