is this what they are building data centers for?
so i can save four copies of one video.
now i found four of the same.
seriously if you are a big corp, shouldnt your ai catch the duplicates and such?
i have triples, TRIPLES, in my storage, like why does my computer tell me i have the same file name but doesnt ask me that in my storage.
Hey Customer, you have a file with this exact name do you want to upload it to our server for three times the space?
i need an app on my phone that ask me if i would like to print out the photos from the day...
for me tomorrow

Going through my cloud storage is a mess, it took me hours to scroll through maybe half of it....why am i paying for something like that? should it not just give me a simple list and if i want to click it then it will load....i know i am on a cheap laptop but if their hosting my stuff, why does it feel so heavy on my side?
this is why i dont look through them. if i had faster service i would. i dont understand so i will gladly accept an answer on why this is the case
it is learning how to make boring fun.
i watched weeks of one activity, maybe two people participated, it was always a groan.
i presented it differently and then all of sudden the very same activity was now a hit.
recycled with fun.
fuddy duddys can be taught to open up their fun side. :D
just gotta present it right, and that is what is lacking...
everything is monotone in a sea of monotone ideas
but with the right tiny shift, it transform into a beauty, an eye catcher, gotta find that perfect shift...
someones trash is someones treasure...right?
i took a camera, never did photography before, and transformed how people used it around festivals....not a new concept, just pivoted how to present it. then it made a difference.
there is some form of tipping point for boring when the right magic touches it.
that is what i like to find.
explore in the boring.
chore. chore. chore. chore.
chore. chore. dance. chore. chore.
tomorrow: remember when we danced yesterday.
it adds a tiny bit of "hey, wake up."
fuddy duddies need some funny duffies.
but remember, kids, if both sides aren't laughing its not a good time.
For Partners:
When you see your partner in the kitchen, say "Dance Party" and shimmy your shoulders for ten seconds to get the other person to start dancing.
Make the random meet ups in the kitchen a tiny party. Then go back to your routine.
The kitchen is now the DANCE HALL.
Tried this on family, and they immediately started smiling. Breaks up that routine or stress for a couple of seconds. It goes a long way.
Just be silly for ten seconds.
It is random. It is free. It brings smiles.
Unless you are a fuddy duddy.
rough draft idea:
group digital storage accounts
when a group storage account reaches 100 people for their group party, they each get 1gb of storage at the price of $2/month.
better pricing for bigger groups. incentive to find people. front page will show how many more people need to join to get this benefit. we have 15 slots left.
also the print on demand for items in your storage is a fun idea.
"nostr's ______ is like winco"
idea game. where does your mind wander to when you think of this?
Rough Draft Thinking/Idea: This might be a consideration for devs and builders to create a concept like WinCo...instead of paying out random job assignments, they get invested in a bitcoin group account and when the dev wants to part, they collect their share. Keep devs building. Need a set amount of hours logged each year. Portion of pay?
AI Description How WinCo Operates as an Employee Own business:
🧩 How Employee Ownership Works at WinCo (ESOP)
WinCo uses an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) — a retirement plan where the company gives employees stock for free, based on how much they earn.
Key mechanics:
WinCo contributes 20% of an eligible employee’s yearly compensation in company stock — employees never pay into it themselves.
Employees become eligible after:
Age 18
500 hours in the first 6 months
1,000 hours each fiscal year thereafter
Shares are appraised annually by an independent firm (not traded publicly).
Employees become fully vested after 6 years with 1,000 hours each year.
This is why long‑term WinCo employees often end up with six‑figure ESOP accounts — one example shows a 15‑year employee accumulating nearly $185,000 in value.
🎁 Do Employees Get Special Benefits?
Yes — but not the “store discount” kind. They get financial and insurance benefits that are unusually generous for retail.
Major Benefits WinCo Employees Receive
ESOP stock gift (20% of pay) — the big one.
Competitive pay and 401(k) options.
Low‑cost health, dental, and vision insurance
Example: employee‑only medical coverage around $45/month depending on plan.
Short‑term disability (60–100% income replacement depending on plan).
Group life insurance paid by WinCo.
Paid holidays after 180 days.
Tuition assistance and internal management‑training programs.
🛒 Do They Get Store Discounts?
No. WinCo is known for not offering employee discounts because their business model is built around keeping prices low for everyone. The “special benefit” is ownership, not coupons.
⭐ Why This Matters
Employee ownership at WinCo is designed to build long-term wealth, not short-term perks. For many workers, the ESOP becomes a retirement plan far more valuable than a traditional 401(k) match.
Random thought I want to offload from my brain: I pay $120 a year to store a bunch of pics and videos i probably don't want to watch anyways, what are my alternative options to ensure i dont lose these keepsakes that i don't want to part with but also don't want to pay thousands of dollars over a lifetime....i think i already paid about 360-600 dollars so far and looked at them a few times. would this be the same cost to just use a nostr service? cant i get a better cost? or just simply invest in a harddrive which i am afraid that would corrupt the data anyways? all these digital keepsakes are annoying to maintain, and costly. i used to have a junk jewelry box that was a one time fee of 10 bucks and stored in my closet....
i think having a nostr keepsake offer would be interesting idea to keep at the back of your brain if not already considered
