Investment Journal 2026.9.6 Recently, I have been thinking about how to allocate between BTC and ZEC. One reference point in my mind is: ZEC/BTC = 0.02. If ZEC reaches this level relative to Bitcoin, I will reconsider the value relationship between the two assets. Bitcoin is digital gold, and its most important value comes from its fixed supply of 21 million coins. It represents a form of digital wealth that cannot be easily inflated or controlled, serving as a long-term asset against monetary depreciation and financial uncertainty. No matter how the market changes in the future, BTC should remain my core holding. However, ZEC represents another kind of value: financial privacy. Bitcoin solves the question of โ€œwho owns the wealth,โ€ while ZEC focuses on โ€œwhether that wealth should be publicly visible.โ€ As the world becomes increasingly digital, personal financial privacy may become more valuable. The ability to protect wealth from being tracked, restricted, or even confiscated could become an important necessity. The future value of ZEC depends on whether its privacy narrative can truly gain adoption. My current view is that BTC is the digital gold that has already proven itself, while ZEC is an investment in the possibility of a future privacy-focused world. If ZEC/BTC reaches 0.02, it may represent a market revaluation of privacy. I do not want to give up the certainty of BTC, but I also do not want to miss the potential opportunity that ZEC may bring.

Japan has historically been able to prevent the yen from depreciating too quickly by selling US Treasuries and buying yen. However, if it continues selling US Treasuries, it could deplete its dollar-denominated asset reserves and may eventually have to accept higher inflation.
Aurelius 1 week ago
If Japan sells the US Treasuries it holds, it can convert them back into dollars, then sell those dollars to buy yen, which could help support the yen's exchange rate.

If your funds are stored in a single-signature (single sig) wallet, and the entropy (source of randomness) came from a Coldcard, and you did not use dice rolls to generate additional randomness or set a passphrase, donโ€™t panic, but move your funds to another wallet (with a new seed) immediately.
