I have a complex relationship with government. I grew up in a relatively authoritarian regime where as a teenager I rebelled at every stage. When I went to the UK for Uni when i felt a general sense of relief. I was able to think my own thoughts. But now 20 yrs later I’m back and my priorities have changed. I’ve got a wife and kids. Now my main concern is their safety and the ability to control my wealth. People change. Where I am is safe for my kids with an amazing education system (it’s in Asia). And I’ve got bitcoin to give me the sovereignty I desire. So I expect nothing from government other than to leave me alone but I want it to keep my children safe. As I said it’s complex.

Great chat. I agree with @odell. There’s going to be an explosion of freedom tech not because people are worried about freedom but because it’s impossible to get your agent access with KYC protocols. I tried to add signal and telegram with using @lnvpn temporary tel no and they didn’t work. I’m willing to pay (lightning) but I’m not willing to leak data. The future’s bright.
