Bitcoin is internet universal money.
The property of universality:
- comes from the fact that it’s electronic
- more importantly from the fact that no one can print more of it (unlike everything else)
If the way it goes has nothing to do with our actions, why do we let it get as us?
Because we choose when to.
Hi @DEMAND I love what you are trying to do.
But your FAQ can be misconstrued as disingenuous at best if your approach is B2C.
"This is highly variable and depends on your hash rate and the network's total hash rate. It could take days, months, or even longer, and there's a chance you might never successfully mine a block." => a pleb with an S9 or S19 would take hundreds of years
"Is Solo Mining Profitable?
We make it profitable by giving our miners an option to sell their hashrate on various hashrate marketplaces." => that's not solo mining
My point: you do not need to write almost-deceptive marketing stuff like they would in the 1990s. You are doing something great, just own it and be upfront.
You provide a SOLUTION for a solo miner: because he can simultaneously earn for some his hashpower while doing gambling SOLO
Good luck
NOSTR is an attempt at a decentralized marketplace we just don’t know it yet
In a townsquare people talk and chat
But 3 days a week there’s a market too
There is a reason why all shitcoins must fail
You can’t have an individual with the power of a central bank and not have it mindfuck the poor guy
The three little pigs.
For the longest time I thought it was actually about house building.
In reality it’s about surviving. You have to put in the work. That’s what I tell my kids about education. Somehow it reminds me of bitcoin as well
Unpopular question:
What portion of the Lightning roadmap (well BOLTs to be precise) is geared towards :
- A/features for professional lightning services providers
- B/features for plebs to connect to each other using LN but without using those professional service providers… aka building a really distributed peer to peer network ? Aka making lightning easier for the pleb
For some reason I have the feeling that it’s mostly moving towards A .
fear of complexity leads to custodial
Custodial leads to fiat
Fiat leads to the dark side
Anyone remembers the early days of open internet at work?
Like when we had to time share one physical RJ45 because « employees have no « real work » reason to go outside the intranet »
🤣
Same thing with money

There is no such thing as unknowing. Even if it’s just a possibility.
It s not a curse. It is time preference in its fullest, rawest, unvarnished. Life
To every NGU idiot who keeps putting out a chart where « now it s going up for sure because x y and z »
All it tells me is that you haven’t really understood anything
Whatever it is that you are going to do when it does not happen, you should be doing it right now.
Just leapfrog , save yourself some time
Make War Expensive Again
The toughest lesson
What it means it that the worst of it all can happen to us at anytime
And somehow we must endure and rise
Because we have glimpsed a light and somehow understood fugitively
Are our hearts?
AI can’t help with what I’m working on. So maybe it’s something useful after all ? 🤔
@Saifedean Ammous shouldn’t the next book be « FIAT technologies » ?
All those useless stuff developed with high time preference which were waste of resources (private and public). Amongst them the “good bad ideas” from the top , and the IP/licensing battles
Throwaway razors and pens.
