I feel like we should look at ways to educate and equip the poorest populations in our communities to begin to use sats. I grew up in trash parts of Memphis, TN. Recently I heard @ODELL talk about focusing on the people “who want it but don’t know they want Bitcoin.” When I look at the poor in our communities, I know they need sats. They would use the hell out of sats. I use to mess around in a neighborhood called 3rd World, in Orange Mound, Mtown, TN. The trailer parks, projects, and other impoverished communities need sats.

Listening to @ODELL, @Gigi, @jimmysong, and reading “Working In Public” brought my attention to need for builders. My current bandwidth limits my current ability to become a builder, but that doesn’t absolve my responsibility to raise this signal. Support developers. Support the builders. They have built our current infrastructure. They maintain our infrastructure. The more quality builders we support, the more resilient the network. View quoted note →

Your strategic priorities: 1. The Transcendent: consider and discern what you believe about your being, your spirit, God, your condition, your destiny, etc. 2. Lifelong: Your family, friends, health, and community. 3. Temporal: Your career, current situation, challenges, & opportunities. Again, these are strategic personal priorities. They impact all humans whether we think through them or not. These, when understood with conviction, stress tested for congruency, and lived out practically give us strength. We have peaks and valleys along the way.

When Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) like this First Sergeant start sharing things like this, the pain points are becoming undeniable. #bitcoin!

LinkedIn is absolutely terrible. I use it as part of a non-profit thoroughly rooted in the fiat system. I do it because I love the team of active and former special operators I worked with while serving. However, the moment I can jettison that turd bucket, I will do so gladly.

In a world of financial abstractions, Special Drawing Rights (XDR) takes the cake. It was created to solve liquidity problems in 1969. In response the decolonization, I’m sure these systems seemed like and improvement…but wow. It really pushes the abstraction out there. The abandoning of the gold standard was inevitable. image

Today I realized I have largely been a rent seeker. I added value throughout my years working but it was easy to stand out against a backdrop off low producing averages. Simply looking to transition into building the Bitcoin-standard economy provokes real ownership.

There are a lot of talented people working for the USG. For the last several decades the amount of $ the USG spends has attracted both talent and vultures. It is the biggest “bait ball” in nature. The market was largely captured and we wasted a lot of time, energy, and lives. I look forward to the possibility of Bitcoin changing the incentive structure.
