We traded freedom for safety.
I might be amongst one of the last generation who got to grow up coming home when the street lights came on. That's not a meme, that was reality. I got to make my own choices, make my own mistakes and learned to handle them on my own. I knew if i fucked up too bad, I feared the stick and it kept me mostly in line.
Lately ive started letting my son roam the neighborhood on his own with his bike after school. I let him go find other kids on his own. (There are some of his friends who are still restricted like cant go past the stop sign 3 houses down). Anyways, I think its good for him. No scheduled play dates, no specific geofence. Make a judgement call yourself and fully face the consequences good or bad.

Should I let it grow out just to see how big it gets? Its already a 4 pounder at this point. #gardenstr

Here's today's garden update. Been planting some fall crops over the past week. Also pruned some flowers (wife will be happy) and pulled this big boy. Almost made it to 4 lbs.
Also, anyone know what kind of spider is this? Irl he looked like he had a very fuzzy silvery white layer over him.

Here is the power of the circular bitcoin economy:
Imagine if you can, a small local farmer is one day able to tap into a bitcoin circular economy, allowing him to send his cleanest, highest quality meats, delivered to a meetup clear across 5 states, at an all-in price of 20-30% less than what they can get at the grocery store. Better than butcher quality. Meetup members start turning ultrachad from all the high quality protein they're consuming. Or something. And the cherry on top is that the driver stacks sats and the meetups stack sats along the way too.
Too good to be true?
Better believe. ๐
We JUST had some for dinner tonight. It was the best pork chops we've had. I couldnt get my camera out in time to snap a photo of it before everyone cut into theirs. Second time having it, so it was highly anticipated by all. Added bonus, the potatos and rosemary were from my own garden!
Seriously, get some, you wont regret it.
