folderblog 0.2.8 is out. Podcast setup now works with real Cloudflare R2: the "find it again" check no longer trips on R2's compressed replies. The podcast feed also gets its own title, and the show page has a Subscribe box with the feed address ready to paste into your podcast app.

My World of Warcraft characters have a podcast now: My Azeroth Life. A WoW addon I wrote takes notes while I play. Each morning an AI turns those notes into a story told by a weathered chronicler, and I read every post before it goes up. Claude then turns the posts into narrated episodes with ElevenLabs voices, music and sound effects, and I listen before anything is published. Each character has their own narrator. The whole thing, blog and podcast, runs on folderblog, the small blog engine I make. The feed has Podcasting 2.0 chapters and a value tag. Listen:

Put episodes in podcast/ and it builds the show page, episode pages and a feed ready for Apple Podcasts and Podcasting 2.0 (guids, transcripts, chapters, people, Lightning tips). Audio goes to Cloudflare R2 on deploy, and folderblog mcp lets an AI agent draft and check episodes, publishing only after you say yes.

From the bench, a small Persistwise fix. If the page download for a new post failed, the post was marked failed and never retried, so it never got its IPFS copy. Now it tries again with longer waits in between, and if the saved file goes missing later, the pin step downloads it again. The Archive page got plainer too. Each copy shows a short status like "Wayback: trying again" or "IPFS: pinned", and a post only says archived once both copies exist.
