From the bench, a small Persistwise fix. If the page download for a new post failed, the post was marked failed and never retried, so it never got its IPFS copy. Now it tries again with longer waits in between, and if the saved file goes missing later, the pin step downloads it again. The Archive page got plainer too. Each copy shows a short status like "Wayback: trying again" or "IPFS: pinned", and a post only says archived once both copies exist.

Second call, and thanks to everyone who boosted the first one. I'm applying to OpenSats and the HRF Bitcoin Development Fund for six months of work on Omostrich, a Nostr signer that keeps your key on your own Linux PC. The plan is to make it run on any distro and let you pair your phone with it over normal relays, with no VPN needed. The grant would also keep relay.pleb.one free, updated and secure. It exists because of my first OpenSats grant, and it'll become a pairing relay for Omostrich. If you use relay.pleb.one, a short note to the funder about it would help a lot. DM me if you're up for it.

Saturday evening reminder to myself: the small, steady stuff counts. A little progress most days adds up to something you can be proud of. Hope your weekend has some rest in it too 🌙

I was thinking of life in the third-world and wondering how it would affect software choices. The first thing that came to mind is local/offline first is the key to everything. If it needs a connection or the cloud, its sort of worthless.
