Just made a couple more jars of my pecan butter, and this time i added some cacao powder, cuz i love chocolate. So for this batch i used pecans, salt, honey, and cacao powder. The taste is amazing😊. #foodstr #homesteading

Good morning nostr, i'm just enjoying my first coffee and thinking about the day ahead. Yesterday my husband started up the generators, just to check them ahead of the hard freezes this weekend. Hopefully our power wont go out, but i think we'll be prepared if it does. If nothing else, maybe we'll get a little rain out of this (or i guess it might be ice). Today i'll be making sure all the critters have plenty of hay, then we're going to get a few grocery items before the stores get crazy. Hey nostr, i'm posting on Yakihonne to see how it feels, compared to my usual Amethyst. I love the look and feel of Amethyst, but sometimes it acts weird, maybe something to do with relays, which i still dont understand. So today was mostly overcast, so i missed my sunshine. I cut back my asparagus patch, which was already dried and brown for the winter. Then just stuff around the house mostly. Yall have a good evening nostr friends. #homesteading

Good morning nostr, well i guess winter will finally be showing up for us starting saturday. Forecast says temps in the teens one or two nights, then 20's, plus some rain, so might get icy. 🥶🥶 Thankfully we have plenty of firewood in case power goes out. So today i'll be prepping the cabin for guests arriving tomorrow. Even though i've paused my booking calendar, i still have a few existing bookings thru March.
