Good morning nostr, i overslept today, but thats ok. This day should be busy, with gorgeous weather and lots of outdoor time. Yesterday we did a good testing of the Starlink Mini powered by the new solar panel directly, and it worked surprisingly well. I might want to rig up a little rolling cart that we can move around for this setup. I already told my husband he should look around his shop for ideas. Anyway, i need to start feeding the critters. Good morning nostr, its a cold 30F and we're all huddled around the woodstove. Today i want to try to make time to stock up on on my whipped tallow skin cream, and also my pecan butter. I think i'll use those as little Cristmas gifts for a few people. Then i'll be pretty busy the rest of the day. So i think we're gonna change our Starlink mini plan to the next higher one, i think $25/mo. My husband really wants to get better wifi at his shop behind the house, and we already have this Mini, so we'll see. Hi nostr, i'm calling it a day because its been blustery cold outside. I took Lucy for her walk and threw the ball for her, so she got her playtime. I think the critters will be cozy enough tonight during the freeze. Everybody got extra hay and food today, then i mostly goofed off cuz its sunday. I was too hungry to post pics, but i'm now the queen of loaded sweet taters! Today for lunch we loaded them with seasoned ground venison, and i added some teriyaki sauce. Along with butter, fresh garden chives, and cheese. They were fantastic! Shredded beef was excellent last time, but what i had available today was ground venison, so thats what i used. #foodstr #homesteading #UseWhatYouHave
