I was too hungry to post pics, but i'm now the queen of loaded sweet taters! Today for lunch we loaded them with seasoned ground venison, and i added some teriyaki sauce. Along with butter, fresh garden chives, and cheese. They were fantastic! Shredded beef was excellent last time, but what i had available today was ground venison, so thats what i used. #foodstr #homesteading #UseWhatYouHave

Good morning nostr, we had a shift in the winds during the night, so it feels cooler now. But i'm not looking forward to tonight's expected freeze. So today we have church, then we'll be scurrying around making sure all the critters have plenty of hay and stuff. My husband has been requesting loaded sweet taters again, because they were so tasty the last time. But i dont have any leftover shredded beef in the fridge, so i'll be using ground venison for the meat filling, i'll bet that'll be just as good. Oh, and i've already gotten a couple of requests for jars of my pecan butter for christmas gifts, so i need to get busy with that. I'll be meeting up with some lady friends for brunch today, which we do periodically. Its nice to catch up with them and just enjoy some good conversation. I'm kinda stuck on the plans for the chicken run revamp. Each time i think i have a plan, i think it needs to be different. It wont be a small job, so i want to get the planning right, so we'll see.
