Good morning nostr, its a bit chilly this morning, but not enough to light the woodstove yet. We wanted to let the central heat start up, just so we can test it for the season. Its a pretty new system (last year), and we havent had to use the heater much at all. So today i'll be trying to plan where i'll be installing the t-posts for the chicken run. I wish we would get some more rain so the ground softens a bit more. But it gives me time to plan better. Hey nostr, oh its been a gorgeous day! I didnt have to go anywhere today, so i spent the day working outside, doing what i love. I did some cleanup in the beds and just some general maintenance. Good morning nostr, today's high should only be 68F! To me thats a perfect temp, along with some sunshine of course. I can hear the rooster crowing, my coffee is hot, and i have a day full of work around the homestead, so a perfect day. Yesterday we made the decision to put the baby guineas back in their coop, to let them grow out more. A hawk came around and almost snatched one up. Then Lucy was chasing them. None of this has happened to the older ones, so i think its just a matter of size. Good night nostr friends, its time to find a movie and wind down. The wind outside feels funny, blowing in all different directions. I think it may be the cool front arriving. So we went and bought some t-posts today, to have on hand for the chicken run re-do. I think i want to wait to get a good rain first, so it wont be so hard to pound the posts in the ground. We just let the baby guineas out of their coop for the first time. They seem to be getting along great with the 4 older ones. Now we'll have 10 guinea monsters running around, eating grasshoppers, and killing snakes. #guineas #homesteading
