Bug out vehicles, survival vehicles have always interested me. My current vehicle, being diesel and 4x4, meets my current needs. Toyota Hilux and Landcruisers, for me anyway, are my recommendations, due to their ruggedness and the numbers sold around the world. My more fun option would be an 70's or 80's rear drive Toyota Corolla wagon. The K series engines (3k-7k) are tough as hell and amazingly simple to work on. Plus, the numbers of Corollas sold around the world and the continued manufacture of parts makes them easy to keep going. Quality of sleep: Physical vs Mental Exhaustion I've worked both very physically demanding manual labour jobs and very cognitively demanding jobs, emotionally taxing and complex work. The best sleep I get is after being physically exhausted, not mentally exhausted. I find after a day of physical labour or activity, even if I'm wiped put, I sleep so deeply. Conversely, after a being exhausted by a mentally demanding day my sleep is terrible, takes me a long time to sleep, bad quality, bad dreams. Certainly I feel happier and as though I've earned it after working physically. #grownostr
