We've had Bluetongue Lizards at our place for years, but I haven't seen any in two years. They live for decades and we had a mating pair that lived under the house. A few years ago they had a few babies, the only young I'd seen, but birds or cats killed two. Yesterday I came across my first live baby, I'm so happy to see they have been successful. A real insight into how unprepared most people are for an emergency. The remote town of Broken Hill lost power due to a storm, backup generators failed after a couple of days. By this stage tge town was out of food, food shortages were widespread and people were filling the city centre in cars lining up for the only fast food factory in town that had back up power.
