#31days Bushwalk with the kids this morning. Chilly, but lots of spring wild flowers out. The yellow flower had a tiny spider just chilling on it. Spent the arvo pruning and training grapevines and changing the chooks bedding. #homesteading #grownostr

#31days Wet and cold day. Made some sauerkraut in preparation for Oktoberfest and a 5km bushwalk in the afternoon. After a meal at the local pub with the kids, we watched Alpha. It's a great film, suitable for kids, about a neolithic boy befriending a wolf, becoming a man, surviving. And they use a reconstructed proto-indoeuropean language, which is fascinating. #grownostr #film

#31days I've gone full Kevin McCallister, home alone tonight as the kids are having sleepovers and the wife is at work. This is the first time in, possibly, ten years I've been without any of my family at home and it feels weird. Did an 18 hour fast today and walked across town to drop off my son's things to his friends house, adding to my walk at the fiat mines. Tired and alone 😂, time for bed. GN #grownostr

#31days 40 minute weights workout, first one in a while due to some back issues, then work in the garden for the afternoon. Had the day off, allowed me to gsd for myself and the homestead. The flower is one of my wifes favourites, it's a succulent called Pigface. This particular one I liberated from the Flinders Ranges last time we were up there. It produces these large and very bright flowers. #grownostr #homesteading
