#31days Final levelling and laying of a thick layer of mulch, the aim is to create a more usable outdoor space, connected to our courtyard and house, to use in spring and summer. It was hard yakka, taking most of the day. Now for some seating and replanting of bee attracting flowers and herbs for the kitchen. #homesteading #grownostr #hardyakka

#31days Lots of cleaning around the house, my wife has night shifts all weekend, so it's dad in charge. Spent the afternoon prepping outside, more clearing and levelling of soil, ready for mulch laying tomorrow. If all goes well it should be looking good by the afternoon. #gsd #grownostr

A woman I work with apologetically asked me the other day, if it had any particular dietary requirements. Her query was due to me eating the same thing at work every day, an egg and a sandwich made with local mustard pickle, cheese and low carb, high protein bread. I wanted to tell her it was because I'm an autistic retard, but I went with the other reason, that I'm keto. 😂 She had noticed my bizarre eating habits and had never heard of keto. #keto #grownostr

#31days Much lighter day today, by design, as I'm feeling sore after days of heavy work. Managed to get a walk in at the fiat mines and that was enough, feeling less sore already. #grownostr

#31days day the 3rd Spent 4 hours cutting down a tree that had fallen during a few stormy days. It was double trunked, with one falling over my fence and one falling on my neighbours tank. They didn't know it had occurred and were happy for me to take it off their tank, which it had damaged. Fairly hard job on my own, had to use ropes and props to hold the large trunk in place as I cut. I did end up hurting myself when a four foot piece bounced of another tree and hit me in the kneecap and then foot, nothing broken luckily. Most of the tree, and the main trunk, i left for the neighbours as they have a wood fire, kept a bit for a fire this weekend with a mate. #31days #community #grownostr
