I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning pond report is just straight up beauty today. The day after a snowstorm when it’s all down & fluffy is almost as enjoyable as the day it’s falling. Now I get to sit back and enjoy the view.

Morning pond report is a winter wonderland! We got lake effect snow last night & a lot of it! Such a beautiful way to start the day.

Morning pond report is a little less snow than yesterday. We’re gonna hit 40 today so we might lose the rest of it today. Rest of the week will be below freezing, so it will all be nice to walk on out there.

Morning pond report is snow is back! Upcoming weekend is going to be super busy. We’re starting the process for one of our sheep & I’m back to hunting. Hopefully I’ll come up in the deer dept & we can hang a deer next to our sheep!
