Morning pond report is rain! Looks like we’re gonna have a brown Christmas here, we had a white thanksgiving this year, which I loved. But a brown Christmas can be enjoyable too, right?

I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning pond report is just happy today. Can’t believe how far in life I have come that I get to look at this every morning. I must have done something right.

Morning pond report is that it’s snowing! The last 2 warm days have caused the stream behind my hunting grounds to melt completely resulting in a river for a few days & we’re getting ready to refreeze. I see grass all around right now too! Can’t wait for this to be all covered again in new snow
