I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this. I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning Nostriches! Morning pond report is frosty! Fields are frozen, life is slowing down & getting ready for a cold winter. We’re baking with apples & squash & getting ready for the holidays. More fires & hot tubbing. Love this time of year! #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches Morn in my pond report is just thankful. I get to look at this & ground myself every morning. We had windstorms this weekend, there’s no leaves left on trees anymore, show is over, can’t wait until the next one! #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches! Morning pond report is frosty! There’s barely any leaves left on the trees at this point, but that sets it up for the gorgeous snowscapes followed by the intense green if spring, don’t know which one I am more excited for. Today is the hubs bday, unfortunately I still have to head into the fiat mine, but we’ll get some time with family this weekend. #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches! Morning pond report is the last little bit of snow. This stuck around way longer than i thought it would, but it will be gone later today as we’re hitting 47. Bad part is that my corral turns into a marsh & the animals have trouble. #coffeechain
