I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning pond report is finally a pond! I’ve missed this! Got to sit out and drink my water 1st thing before it was off to the races & now get to have my coffee before the loan mine. Don’t know how I made it through that time without all these bird calls & insect trills

Morning pond report is that I miss sitting on the deck in the mornings staring at the pond. The side deck is not as satisfying. We got rained on good last night so there’s no critters on my corn pile yet. I’ll have to keep an eye out from my office today to see what I can see.

Morning pond report is deer, turkeys & raccoons! I am still temporarily banned from the deck & stuck on the side deck, that’s ok today though as I was running late!

Morning pond report is my deck is stained again so I am stuck on the side deck. I did get my game cams up last night - got 41 pics in this morning. All are deer. It’s going to be a good hunting season!
