Morning Nostriches
Morning pond report is my deck is stained again so I am stuck on the side deck. I did get my game cams up last night - got 41 pics in this morning. All are deer. It’s going to be a good hunting season!

I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning pond report is deer & more deer! Unfortunately when I came out on the deck they saw me & hot spooked. Silly deer, hunting season is still 6 weeks away!

Morning pond report is deer & more deer! We finally got our corn pile dragged down to put up in front of my hunting shack & this morning it was found by 6 bucks & a doe. Can’t wait until September now!
Still stuck on the side deck as my stain isn’t dry yet, but got a good morning from my murderous barn cat Morty as a result

Morning pond report is deer! 2 bucks came walking through. Unfortunately my deck is still very tacky so my pic is of the woods from the side deck.

Morning pond report is turkeys! Unfortunately I didn’t see them until they were moving off, but there were at least 4 hens down there & I heard some babies calling out too.
We did more work on the deck so I am relegated to a chair in the corner until the stain dries. Still loving the view even if I have to hunch over to see it!
