I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this. I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning Nostriches Morning pond report is turkeys! Unfortunately I didn’t see them until they were moving off, but there were at least 4 hens down there & I heard some babies calling out too. We did more work on the deck so I am relegated to a chair in the corner until the stain dries. Still loving the view even if I have to hunch over to see it! #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches Morning pond report is serene & beautiful. I hear birds & insects calling from everywhere this morning. Would rather spend the day with them than in the loan mine. #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches Today’s pond report is relatively quiet. No toads & the birds are in the wooded areas. Apparently even the pond needs a down day here & there. #coffeechain
