Dana White on Russell Brand saying that the reason why Kamala didn't go on Rogan's show is that her campaign is scared of letting her talk without a teleprompter. I think there may be a little bit of that, but mainly that the people running her campaign simply are a bunch of rainbowhaired DEI advertisement poster kids who genuinely and utterly HATE Joe Organ, just like they HATE the half of the country they keep calling Nazis, fascists, deplorable, irredeemable, and garbage. I remember the 90's and the 00's. That's why I can immediately identify who the Party of Hatred is, just I was easily able to see them back then on the other (hypothetical) side.

I wish web browsers had a feature to allow for full screen mode, but with the window not maximized. You know what I mean? Quite often I want to watch a video without taking up the whole screen because I'm keeping an eye on something else, but I lose a lot of screen real estate because the browser window still shows the tabs, URL bar, etc.

One thing that amazes me about running my own node is that ever since I first spun it, almost two months ago, on this 10 year old laptorunning Ubuntu, and after a certain amount of initial struggle, both the node and the laptop have had a 24/7 uptime. I've been installing some extra shit, like my Protpn suite, wallets, Alby Hub, Remmina to remote keep an eye on it, etc. and I've only had to do a couple of restarts because of some Bluetooth issues I had to get my Logitech mouse and keyboard working. No crashes, no freezes, no bullshit. I don't think I've ever managed to keep a Windows machine running anything for even a week straight without it crashing or some other critical shit happening.

This here is by far the best coffee I have had this year. Been buying it religiously for months, at least 1/4 kg every week. I usually consume two 1/4 kg bags of roasted beans every 10 days or so, one of whatever I'm enjoying the most, and one of something new to keep it varied and to learn new stuff. But with this stuff, I have had to really stick to my habit and not just go all in. And it's not even among the most expensive ones they sell (it's like €9 something the 1/4 kg bag of beans). I was right to do it, because a couple of weeks ago they told me they only had 15 kg left... until next season (summer 2025). So I bought 1 kg of it... which is sadly about to be gone. I haven't found anything similar to replace it and carry me until then, and now I'm sad.

Seriously, we're having a strong "rejection" and dip because of some silly "jobs numbers"? This is why I simply DGAF about charts and "trading". (My thesis, as I posted the other day, is that people are simply piling up on the start line for right after the election. In one direction or another).

The federal income tax represents (off the top of my head) $2 trillion dollars that need to be replaced. Tariffs would have to go up to an average of 60+% across the board (currently average is 2-3%), but that same thing would cause imports to decrease by a similar magnitude, so with tariffs only, they'd be 60% short of those $2 T(and we're not even going into the political consequences internationally of enacting such tariffs, which would probably cause a major war). So, unless Trump has a plan to make the government REALLY lean (not simply a cosmetic reduction in IRS personnel that wouldn't even put a dent on those $1.3-ish T), there is not a chance that he can implement this, even if he wants and really tries. Well, yes, of course: I guess he could print those missing $1.3 T... every year... I'm all for TRYING to do it.
