I've been wondering if #LN is having something to do with the #mempool vacancies recently... Is that much being moved away from main to kill the pool? It's been happening more often. 1 or 2 sat/vB seems a pretty regular thing now where for YEARS it was the rarest of occurences. I'm likely missing a lot in the equation. #inquiringminds #btc #wtf #asknostr

The #paragliding launch is cleared of trees, now I just need to climb a few tall pines to cut some overhanging branches, cut the grass, and move any sharp debris. I got an hour of kiting in mid day before it rained and managed to get the wing in the air a few times. It'll be a lot eassier now with the extra space. Once the boys got home we then finished the clearing and moving. #homesteading #kiting #hive #peakd #dailyblog

I got my launch mainly finished yesterday. Had to climb 4 trees to top them and still need to climb 2 full size pines to lopp some branches off. As I was up there I looked up and one of our bald eagles was thermalling right over my head, about 500 feet up without a flap of its wings, gaining altitude the whole time. There-by proving there is potential for lift. #homesteading #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

More work on my #paragliding launch yesterday and I have it nearing useable. I can for sure kite it now when the winds turn right, which will be tomorrow. I #3dprinted out foot board risers for my harness which should give me the little extra so my knees aren't locked straight when I am in the air. Our new #flying club's first meeting went great and the split will be best for everyone involved. #homesteading #hive #peakd #dailyblog

After the morning rains we got in a solid bike ride to the lake and back yesterday as a family. I got over 8 miles, this after the 2500+ feet of vert hiking and 4 paragliding flights the prior 7 days. Then like the masochist I am I headed up the hill to work on clearing my kiting and launch site for my #paraglider. The raspberry plants were truly crawling with the oodles of bumblebees which bodes well for the coming harvest! #homesteading #cycling #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Started clearing my launch and kiting site. I WILL fly from my property and soar the 100ft ridge that runs for a mile to the south. #paragliding image

Yesterday was another day of flying with a 5k hike up to the top of the ridge and a 15 minute flight down. Came across a clutch of day old turkey chicks on the hike up and it was kinda funny watching the hen freak out so much. The flight was a "back on the horse" flight for me after the big collapse happened so did not need it to be super long. In 5 days I got 2 hikes and 4 flights in. #paragliding #hiking #flight #homesteading #hive #peakd #dailyblog

HOLY SHIT! That was an insane flight yesterday as I took my first half collapse of my wing as I flew towards the hillside. Thankfully my reaction was automatic and correct and the wing reopened with a huge BOOM then I was able to scrub off the sudden speed and continue the flight. The next 10 minutes of the flight I spent blurting out "HOLY FUCK" as the experience hit me. The landing was perfect. Going for a hike and fly today and hopefully a bit more enjoyable flight. #paragliding #flight #fear #homesteading #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Had a GREAT #paragliding flight mid day yesterday, my 104th and 2nd in my pod harness. HOLY SHIT I love the harness! It is a true game changer for me now. I feel so much more safe in it, I can feel my wing far better, and I flew with my hands pushing on the brakes and only pulling a couple short times. Did my first true figure 8s to land and touched down nice and gentle. This spider was very intent on wrapping the other spider on the edge of the hot tub as we soaked. I'm betting he was no longer of any use to her aside from a meal... #homesteading #flight #hive #peakd #dailyblog

I am signed up for my #paragliding SIV course in July!!! Super stoked! I will get to learn the extreme maneuvers needed to deal with most any problem the wing will find itself in. Mid day I got a lot of mowing done but only about a 1/3 of what needs it. I'll get the boys on it today and this weekend. RAMFEST at the school was a pretty big draw for the community and we saw oodles of people we know and the boys saw tons of their friends and had a great time. We managed to get there early enough to not have to stand in huge long lines wince many people showed up after 6pm. #homesteading #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

First flight in my new pod harness, 2nd flight from Quartzite, first time flying through rain, 4th flight on my wing, one of my better landings, and the scooter ACTUALLY MADE IT the 4.2 miles and 1000 foot climb back to the car! By all rights I shouldn't have flown but I missed the nearby rain as I was launching but in the end it was just sprinkles and no problems happened, but good lessons learned. I should have listened to the birds when I first got to launch and not waited so long. #paragliding #hiking #hikeandfly #flight #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Got in a solid ride yesterday morning to the lake and back and got in some marginal kiting with my #paraglider. The winds were okay but the location was shit so I fought it as long as I could before giving in and riding home. Sheep can be amazingly stupid, it's just astonishing sometimes just how bad they are. Thankfully the alpaca has brains and is willing to just go tromping through the brush and can lead the big babies around. #homesteading #cycling #kiting #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

The PNW is living up to the legends of WET... Despite us being on the supposedly dry side of the crest the inundation continues. I got the hot tub gravel leveled off with the rest of the wheelbarrow load and am quite pleased with the levelness of the tub. Thanks to the rains I did get organizing done in the house which was needed, then spent a bunch of time with my new watch getting it setup the way I want it. It would be really nice if the rains would stop... #Homesteading #deluge #hive #peakd #dailyblog

It really refuses to stop raining, but work must go on. After 3 years it was finally time to relevel the hot tub. It had settled a lot on the filter corner which is the opposite corner from my seat which meant the water dropped off my jets first. I had to add a good few inches of gravel to the corner and feather it out along the edges. It is WAY WAY better now and if it does over flow it will do so to the backside that has a giant boulder beneath to keep it from settling. #homesteading #diy #fukinrain #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Sweat bees are super cool and really mellow. This one was on the deck, flew up and hovered in front of me so I held out my finger and it landed on it then hung out for a while. A little bit before stryeyz was out in the yard and got to pet a bumble bee. The sheep now have a massivepen of green to munch their way across in hopes of teriming it back a bit. Asshats are too timid to go exploring it though. #homesteading #farming #3dprinting #hive #peakd #dailyblog

The rain refuses to stop, but it IS the PNW... After my dawn grain run yesterday it rained most of the day so I worked around the house. Got the bees more syrup then after the rains abated in the afternoon got the bon fire lit and this morning it is just barely a pile of ashes it burned so well. Sadly the Spokane Chiefs lost and ended their playoff run. #homesteading #FIRE #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

So insanely stoked on the pod harness, and I really can't wait to get it in the air. 3.4 pounds is all it weighs and is one of the lightest pods made. Kited in the afternoon and got a tiny feel of it attached to the wing. 3dprinted the dibblers for #garlic planting and now need to find the right sized boards to attach them to. Should make the rows really straight and easy to plant the cloves this fall. #homesteading #farming #paragliding #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Really happy to finally have the brake handles for my paraglider printed out and installed. Took a while to find the right one to scale properly but now can't wait to take my wing out to try them. The file is on Printables. The Spokane Chiefs hockey game was good despite them losing 5-2. Even in the WHL that puck moves damned fast. #homesteading #hockey #hive #peakd #dailyblog
