Really happy to finally have the brake handles for my paraglider printed out and installed. Took a while to find the right one to scale properly but now can't wait to take my wing out to try them. The file is on Printables. The Spokane Chiefs hockey game was good despite them losing 5-2. Even in the WHL that puck moves damned fast. #homesteading #hockey #hive #peakd #dailyblog

The nice long time on the chiro table helped me beat the knots into a little bit of submission yesterday. Enough so that I was able to haul more of the branches to the burn pile. There is still a good bit more to cut and haul but it is really making the area look a ton better. Been meaning to do this for years. #homesteading #3dprinting #hive #peakd #dailyblog

After the rain deluge yesterday was largely dry. In the afternoon the boys helped me clear out a bunch of the tree and brush by the creek. The tree had fallen over years ago and kept growing so the branches want to lay on the ground. In the interest of fire danger and asthetics I've been wanting to get it dealt with for a while. There is plenty more but this is a great start, and we have plenty for another bon fire. #homesteading #farming #diy #hive #peakd #dailyblog

The huge load of grain shoveled twice yesterday morning was quite the workout first thing. I then had to mow all around the farm since we have rain inbound. Ordered the rest of hte garlic for Fall and I will have 22 varieties growing next year. #homesteading #farming #gardening #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Killer day of #Paragliding yesterday at Tekoa. Got 2 shorter flights on the new wing, got a good feel for the wing loading and the feel of the weight shift in turns, or more so the minimal needed to turn. My landings were solid and ran both of them out. I got great advice on aspects to work on which I will be dedicating much kiting time to. #freeflight #gliding #homesteading #hive #peakd #dailyblog

First real launch on my new wing was great. I got 2 shorter flights while everyone else got much longer flights. I'm fine, I need the practice and a lot more kiting. It is a lot more touchy in the air and not a big boat overhead like my old wing. Hope to sell it soon.

After my morning ride I finally got back into the hive to remove the queen cage. My mistake in not closinghte window first as a bunch of hte bees went blasting for the light and stuck to the screen. I closed the outer door on it and they found their way out the door. They are looking good and strong so far and hte frames are nicely getting filled. #homesteading #cycling #hive #peakd #dailyblog

#Paragliding flight number 100 for me yesterday and the first on my new wing. I love this thing and it is so much easier to handle than my old one, which is WAY too big for my weight now. I kited for over an hour later and am very quickly picking up the nuances of my new wing. Planning a few sled rides and lots of kiting before I take it out for bigger flights. Going from the low/mid B to the C is a bit of a step but one I think I can manage. #freeflight #gliding #kiting #hive #peakd #dailyblog

The hillside is getting nicely cleared of the larger debris which is making it easier for the sheep to move around. I skidded bundles of trees down the hill by hand but it worked really well and was far faster than hucking them downhill one by one. That Inter v Barca match was outstanding and good on Inter for making the finals. Going to fly my new wing for the first time today, super stoked for it. #homesteading #diy #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

So many trips up and down the hill. So many logs thrown down the hill multiple times. Much Werk Much Oww. At least he hillside is getting cleared of the mess of debris. My new #paraglider is SWEET and I will be taking it for first flight tomorrow morning. Today I hope to go kite it if the winds play nice. #homesteading #fire #hive #peakd #dailyblog

After our preemptive Mother's day brunch yesterday morning and another injury to our wild child while bike riding I got a big burn pile going. It will be the easiest way to clear the hillside of the debris and make it more of a fire break. The pen had become littered with branches and sticks that kept getting in the sheep wool so this should make them a bit happier. #homesteading #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

Worthless USPS still has my wing when I should have had it Friday. Made for a less than stellar day. I got a lot done but in a not good mood. I managed to make a much better bike rack out of the old fireplace guard and it fits the bikes just right. The boys are both quite happy with it. #homesteading #gardening #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

"Inside Friede’s blood were antibodies forged through years of repeated exposure to lethal neurotoxins—natural defenses that could potentially neutralize a broad range of snake venoms. By isolating and studying these unique antibodies, Glanville’s team aimed to transform Friede’s extreme personal experiment into a groundbreaking medical advancement: a universal, human-derived antivenom." Universal antivenom? Maybe Gates could stop being evil for once and back an actual useful and helpful #medicine... #news

Last of the seeds are in the ground now and just the transplants left to put in today. The fences are up, irrigation all started and not leaking, and the marigold seeds have been stuffed all over the gardens. One of the light switches in the house went bad and I got it swapped out before it could turn bad. The thing was crackling inside at times as the lights wouldn't come on.... I had the images of the spark then flames in the wall and made sure to get it changed. That part of the house is nearly 100 years old. #homesteading #gardening #hive #peakd #dailyblog

After my 7 mile bike ride in the morning I got the last garden spot tilled. It's ready to plant today and will be the final seeds going in the ground till later this summer. Getting stung by the bee didn't make for an enjoyable afternoon and the dumb ass got squished for the effort. Hoping my wing arrives today! #homesteading #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog

After the morning of wanting to burn Venmo to the ground then a trip to the bank and paying for my wing through Zelle I was able to get the greenhouse planted finally. Far later than I should have given it's a greenhouse.... I found one of our broody hens finally after a lot of searching and she has a good sized clutch under her. Just one of them I know is sitting but haven't been able to find the others. #homesteading #farming #hive #peakd #dailyblog
