I managed to buy gelato with Bitcoin twice today, in two countries! Both were great and payments went smooth, but the gelato from Sablé in Bologna (left) absolutely blew me away, made by Alessandro, an award-winning gourmand and Bitcoiner.

The wildest notice I’ve ever seen taped to the counter of a diner
Via train #692 heading to Churchill from Winnipeg. The 1710km long ride is scheduled to take 45h, but today the train terminates at Thompson, due to heavy snow and a derailment of a freight train ahead.
About half of the cashu mints listed here seem to have already given up. Another 25% are terribly out of date.

LLMs make it more obvious than ever that the “builder’s myth” is outdated. We need to work out how to get people to opt into our dreams and solutions. We’re going to have to work on this harder than ever before. And it will yet again have to be a grassroots effort. On privacy, bitcoin and nostr.
Pretty amazing that despite all this chaos, oil isn’t even getting close to its ATH. Puts Bitcoin’s struggles in perspective.
Over the past thirty years it has become consistently safer to leave the front door unlocked, and unsafer to answer your phone. Don’t let your folks fall for it! Teach them about the dangers of having a phone number!
