I turned 7 years old the day this happened. August 15, 1971. President Nixon went on TV and gave the news that the promise had been broken. US Dollars would no longer be redeemable for gold. Following Monday: Stocks pumped 25%. They engaged the money printer and the decline of the USD began in earnest.

My old pal Terence McKenna from 1998 with remarkable thoughts on AI. He was far ahead of his time. To his left is mathematician Ralph Abraham, the father of Chaos Theory. To his right Rupert Sheldrake, Cambridge biochemist.

This is AI generated video. It's very realistic, enjoyable and compelling. In hindsight, before AI videos we had a kind of golden age for the evidence of things. Pre-AI video gave us a shared connection and objectivity about the world. As video becomes so easily faked, it reverts us into a kind of communication dark age. I don't know what it means or where it leads.
