It’s quite convenient that the Bitcoiner president happened to come from a country, where the people have been mentally beaten so badly that they are willing to accept every authoritarian measure to make the country safe. Thomas Massie is becoming a big distraction. Massie claims to be fighting the system, but he is just talking about AIPAC, Leslie Wexner, Miriam Adelson, etc.. Basically, Massie claims to be fighting the system but he refuses to understand what the system is and how it functions. Yes, sure, every now and then Massie says something nice about Bitcoin and something critical about the money printers. But the problem is that he says these things only when Bitcoiners are listening (basically these are Bitcoin related podcasts and events). Massie even told @Saifedean Ammous that he has read The Bitcoin Standard. But when Massie goes on The Tucker Carlson Show (huge audience), he looks like he is totally clueless about the problem. It looks like Massie has no idea who is calling the shots. He is just complaining that the enemies of the US have too many dollars and he does not have enough dollars… Then he is telling people that they can go to massiemoneybomb.com and donate him some dollars. Message to all Bitcoiners: Massie is not going to save you. Considering the fact that he does not actively promote the best solutions (Bitcoin, Nostr and freedom + privacy tech) to save the country and its people, it’s not even clear that he is trying to. Massie is giving hopium to the political system in the US and at the same time he gets fans from the Bitcoin circles. But if people really understood how bad the situation is, then they would not think that Massie or anyone else can save them. They will have to save themselves.
