Wow this is nice using amber as a bunker. Now I can use jumble.social from Vanadium browser instead of mobile Firefox/nos2x-fox like a ferral goat. Also, NWC seems to be working nice again too. Oh yeah!!
So, someone convinced me to try out bunkers again, so I did. I setup an nsecbunker with amber, using a relay that accepts kind 24133. Then I went to jumble and pasted in the bunker string that amber gave me. No dice! I see the events bouncing around and jumble just says "error". Amber does ask me to approve some permissions, and I do, but jumble does not seem to be receiving the answers. Anyone else using this setup with jumble before I bother the devs about it? #asknostr
Knowing with some sembalance of who someone is from your nostr network, is one of the most powerful connection friction reduction. That's why I prototyped it into A simple web+irc server that uses nostr ident instead of hostname hashes.
Go to Signup for the straycat instance, Publish your single 10040 event, It will calculate and provide you stats over time, very hands off and cool. You can get your follower count, or the rank of anyone in your network. Clients can use this to lighten the CPU/network loads of apps, and it's all opt-in, nip'ified and etc. For example, here's how i see my follows using nak: ``` ❯ nak req --kind 10040 -a 7cc328a08ddb2afdf9f9be77beff4c83489ff979721827d628a542f32a247c0e wss://nostr21.com |jq connecting to wss://nostr21.com... ok. { "kind": 10040, "id": "1bed5214cfd943192944b5ad97c4149658ffb745d3718a8c3120fbe8a8f3ca03", "pubkey": "7cc328a08ddb2afdf9f9be77beff4c83489ff979721827d628a542f32a247c0e", "created_at": 1759261802, "tags": [ [ "30382:rank", "f12c2b490d6f79b33415b93e116dbd844191f48a1692e02e13733ee23eec867b", "wss://nip85.brainstorm.world" ], [ "30382:followers", "f12c2b490d6f79b33415b93e116dbd844191f48a1692e02e13733ee23eec867b", "wss://nip85.brainstorm.world" ], ``` ``` nak req --kind 30382 -a f12c2b490d6f79b33415b93e116dbd844191f48a1692e02e13733ee23eec867b -d 7cc328a08ddb2afdf9f9be77beff4c83489ff979721827d628a542f32a247c0e --limit 5 wss://nip85.brainstorm.world |jq ... @daniele I've been testing (ie addicted to nostr) using grouped-notes.dtonon.com for a BIT! and I'm loving it. I do think there could be some either bugs, or improvements. On mobile it does tend to get sluggish in certain circumstances even when not viewing the feed directly, whereas regular jumble does not. Manifests as slow/laggy scrolling and even typing. Could it be the default 24hr setting? Maybe the default should be more like 3hrs and have a "load more hours" type thing. If that is even the problem..
well, that was fun. lightning terminal can't seem to legitimately sign their releases, so i switched back to just lnd. I like lnd. I never even really got a chance to try any of the lightning terminal stuff, ah well. Also PSA, their releases aren't signed by valid keys. (should raise red-flags for anyone who cares). hopefully they will fix that, i raised an issue on their github.
